CHAPTER ONE

Jaden's POV

*Beep.Beep.Beep* I slammed the alarm off and got up "4am, well on" I murmured making my way to the bathroom, washed my face, went back to bed grabbing some books out to study. I got lost into my books solving problems, reading and analysing. People at my school think it all comes so easily, well it doesn't especially when both your parents were class toppers. There's a reputation to live up to. "Jay...study session's up...5am, get ready" I heard my mom's voice before the door slightly shut again...didn't hear her get in. I quickly showered and got dressed today was gonna be one nerve wracking day for me, I've never been assigned to a new student before..."Ready to welcome the new student pal?" My father asked "Yes..." I lied I wasn't ready at all.

Caly's POV

"Wake up!" I heard a voice say in the background "WAKE UP THE HOUSE IS BURNING!!" Jasmine's high pitched voice rang in my ear. I shot up immediately scanning for any hazard signs nothing "Jasmine! Get out!" I helped point out the door to her as she walked out with a goofy grin on her face. I bathed and got dressed. Life sucks how I'd love to be anyone but me. My parents died in a car crash when I was five. I was the only survivor and I live with a scar the shape of...lighting--... On the back of my neck as a constant reminder of the day I hardly visualise. I tried my hair in a messy ponytail and made my way downstairs "you're late" my aunts stern voice volumed. I gave her a quick smile and walked out. Jasmine's College is closer to where my aunt works so she caught a ride and I had to walk to a school I knew nothing of it's whereabouts. I hate changing schools I was doing perfectly fine in my old one. I brushed the thought off, my uncle always wants what best. Even though I see no best in this decision. "Excuse me sir, where can I find Caidoz Academy?" I asked the old beard stranger in a limo "walking? That's a very long distance Miss" he put a sad look on his face. The window at the back of the limo went down slowly revealing a blonde guy with sparkling green eyes, around my age "lift?" He genuinely offered "no thanks" I gave him a small smile "well then in that case, walk straight till you reach that building then turn to your right and continue on your way you'll reach it...eventually" my jaw dropped seeing how far I had to go and the imagined distance after the turn."since you're walking you'll definitely be late" with that he upped the window and his driver drove off. OK lets do this.

Finally I'm here it took forever, should have taken the lift offer. I stood before the large towering gates "Caidoz Academy" I muttered taking a deep breath.

Roguen's POV

"Ten bucks says she's bratty" I heard Troy say to Kristine who wasn't quite following. "Twenty says she's a nerd" I simply stated putting twenty bucks in his hand "well more money for me" he beamed. "Hi" gave a small wave to Kristine who stood quietly next to Troy. Tammie appeared from a crowd and made her way to us. I wasn't that close to any of these people but Troy. "People" she started "person" I replied causing them to chuckle "where's Jaden?" Was all she would ask it was obvious Tammie had a crush on him. Too obvious. Jaden this, Jaden that, Jaden, Jaden, Jaden. Not that its any of my business. In minutes wanted Jaden showed up alone..."where's your tourist tour guide?" I asked as casual as ever. He just shrugged "well we better get to class the bye Jay" Tammie marched off and we walked off.

"I'm sorry we're late Mrs Lastrane" Jaden made his way n closely followed by a short black girl who stood next to the teacher as Jaden made his way to his seat. "I was beginning to think you were bunking my class along with the new student Mr Lense...please introduce yourself sweetie" she made her way to her desk leaving the girl stranded in front of the class. "Told you its a nerd, bring it out" I held out my hand to collect the money from Troy "sorry pal" I whispered. "Here goes the stuttering" Troy stated causing the guys to chuckle. "Hi, my name is Calypso Hart. I was born in London, I move in with my aunt here in New Jersey when I was five. I'm a former student at Intellectual Intel School of IQ and Sports..." A competition for Jay and Tam "Jay, Tam" I said giving them a 'your toast' look. Intel students graduate to become agents and well are the most intelligent. "She was definitely in for sports" Tammie bluntly stated. Outch. "And that is about it. Any questions?" "I'll prove it to you" Tammie whispered as I shook my head and Jaden face palmed. She raised her hand. "Yes..." Calypso said turning her attention to Tam "which part of the Intellectual Intel school were you part of?" Wow shes got guts "I was taken in by Mr M.L King Jr for Advanced IQ studies and sports, I was in for both parts of it" she stated proudly obviously knowing is Tammie's intentions for asking. "I'm impressed Calypso, now to find you a seat..." Mrs Lastrane said looking around "ooh here! She can seat next to me." The blonde waved her hand "you've got a seat next to Miss Blue there" the teacher waved her off. An amulet fell out of her bag, I picked it and placed I in my pocket. She's Cute.

Kristine's POV

I watched as the blonde made her way towards the desk next to mine, behind Roguen. Weird for a black girl to have blonde hair, definitely dye and I'm loving it! "Hi" she said, my smile widened. "Hi I'm Kristine Blue, Krist for shorts" I introduced myself anxiously "nice pair I love the color, mine are clear elastic" she said smiling widely for me to notice the almost unnoticeable braces "wow, no color at all, where did you get them?" Those were not available and if one would have to sell a lot to afford them, except for my aunt "I made em" she stated proudly. Wait what? "You're THE student from Intel who made clear braces and won first place for the project!" I practically screamed out as she sat down. "Miss Blue if you don't want your name to appear on the detention list I suggest you keep. quiet." I shrunk down my chair. "How did you know?" She asked "well my aunt is a lecturer there and YOU made a pair for her" Cal's eyes widened "your aunt is Ms Owens!" She blurted "mhm. " I nodded. "Would you guys just keep it down!" Roguen scolded turning to look at the beaming Cal then back. "What's it with him?" Cal asked I was gonna answer but Rogue beat me to it. "What's it with me is that you're just to loud for a nerd" he winked, Flirt. I loved the Guy's accent so I always provoked him. "You're just too serious for a jock" Cal gave a comeback. "OK I guess were even now" Rogue gave up turning back to his position. "How did you know he's a jock?" This girl gets weirder and amazing by the minute "I think we both know jock looks" "oh yeah...but he's not one anymore, he used to play captain but one day he just quit" my happy expression drowned "why?" "Nobody knows..."
*Ring* well that was a fruitful lesson, finding someone who knows my aunt as much as I do is freaking awesome! We packed and everyone was soon out except Jay, me and my newly found buddy Cal. I packed my last book "Bye Cal" I waved and made my way out as Jay made his way towards Cal.
