"Maxwell Matthews you have one minute to get down here!" Yelled his dad.

"On my way!" Max yelled from his bedroom. Max had just woken up. Slowly Max arose from his bed, and threw on the first pair of clothes that he saw. He stepped out of his bedroom with his blanket wrapped around him.

"Max!" His dad yelled again. Max walked to the stairs. He didn't notice he dog Spike lying at the top of the stair. Max tripped and fell down the stairs. Max bounced off of every other stair before hitting the bottom. His dad was about to break out laughing, before his mom nudged him.

"I'm good," Max said as he got up. "You guys wanted me?"

"We just wanted to say, Happy Birthday!" Max's parents yelled.

"Thanks! I love you guys." Max exclaimed as he hugged his parents. Max backed away from the hug, before being handed a present. Max opened it to discover a watch inside.

"Thanks dad this is a great present." Max happily said. He put the watch on , but nothing happened. It didn't turn on, or do anything.

"It's not working." Max said puzzled.

"Hmm, I'll take a look at it while you are gone." Max's dad said.

"When I'm gone?" Max questioned. He looked confused at what he was hearing.

"We invited your friends over to celebrate with you. You guys can do all you want today." Max's mom explained.

"Thanks guys, I love you so much." Max ecstatically said. Max ran up stairs, and into his room to change. A few hours later the doorbell rung, Max ran out his room to open it. Once again tripping over Spike and falling down the stairs.

"Spike that is twice in one day dude." Max barked as he rose and answered the door. It was all his good friends, including Dylan (his best friend).

"Hey guys, I was planning on going to the movies," Max explained. "They just released Civil War." Everyone nodded their heads, and the six of them hopped into Max's mom's car and went to the movie theater. When they got there Max saw this girl he didn't like, Madison Davidson. Max tried so hard not to be seen when he walked pass her.

"Max, Max Matthews?" Madison questioned as she saw him.

"What do you want, have you been terrorizing little kids?" Max asked.

"Ha funny; no I'm just here to see a movie, and I know that today is your birthday" There was a slight pause before Madison picked up her hand and slapped the popcorn out of Max's hands. Happy birthday! She added before leaving. Max tried so hard not to get mad. The popcorn was spilled everywhere.

"Max let's just go see the movie, and forget about her." said Dylan. Max picked up the bucket to get it refilled, and headed to the screening room. When they got there, they saw Madison once again. Max didn't want to be bothered with her, so he signaled his friends to sit by the screen. Once the movie was over, Max and his friends went back to his house. All they did for the rest of the day was play Max's quantum cube. They were supposed to be eating pizza and cake, but were still in his room. Max's mom brought the pizza into the room and set it on Max's desk.

"Guys, we are cutting the cake in ten minutes."Max's mom announced.

"Ok we will be there." Max said as he tried not lose against his friend. Max's mom walked out of the room as Max died in the game. Ten minutes had past, and everyone was still playing the game. Max's mom called everyone down for cake. The boys trampled over each other trying to get out the room. They rushed down the stairs and into the kitchen. Max sat at the edge of the table, surrounded by all his friends; finishing out the night by eating cake and opening presents.
