After a while I got Tony to go back to sleep. I however, could not go back to sleep. So, I called Director Fury, to see if he had any news on Pepper.
"Banner! Let me guess, you want to know if we found Pepper yet?"
"Yes, I would like to know exactly that."
"Well, we found her-"
"Is she okay?"
"She is fine, calm down."
"Okay."
"She's fine, and she is now in Michigan with her parents."
"Do we know what happened between her and Tony, other than the break-up?"
"No, she's refusing to talk to anyone about it." Fury said, and I breathed a sigh of relief. I was pretty sure that Tony had said something he probably didn't want the media knowing about just yet.
"Okay. Will you call if there is anymore news?"
"Yes, I am sending Barton and Romanov back to Stark, I mean the Avengers Tower now." As he said this I panicked.
"Why?"
"Because Tony needs protection and so do you, without Pepper, you two might well blow yourselves up." He said with a hint of sarcasm.
"Okay. Goodbye Director."
"Dr Banner."
And with that the call ended.
