Soon you had sang a few more songs and Steve found himself wanting to hear more...

The way you smiled at him... that special smile that you always shared... those special looks...

Although he had thought about you numerous times after he had been defrosted he had never thought that something like this would happen...
He had never thought that he would be looking at you right that moment...
Soon another song ended and although everyone apllauded Steve just... he just couldn't find the strength to even do such a smiple move... he just stood there looking at you mesemrized... his eyes filled with nostalgy... love and... regret...
He regreted not having told you how he felt... every single day after he got defrosted...
Every single moment...
Seeing your eyes shine, seeing you smile, seeing you just made the super soldier want to shout how much he loved you even though you might not felt the same way...
He just wanted to say it... it was beyond him...
You stood there smiling widely; looking at the crowd "Thank you. Thank you very much." you smiled even more from all the enthusiasm they showed.
He heard you giggle and thank everyone... it made his heart flutter...
You thank them more times as you looked around loking for a certain person and then...
... your (e/c) orbs locked with his beautiful blue eyes...
... he smiled at you that oh-so-unique smile that just made you melt...
You smiled at him and for a brief second turned to the guests "Thank you, again. I will be back in a while." you smiled at them and soon walked down the few stairs and through the crowd to him.
You walked through the crowd trying desperatly to get to him the sooner.
You went where you had seen him stand but... he wasn't there.
Dissapointment filled your eyes...
'Where is he... I thought I saw him here. Could I have mistaken someone else for him?' you thought to yourself as you turned to leave...
... you bumped into someone...
"I-I am sorry. I wasn't looking and..." you trailed off as soon as you realised who you had bumped into...
"Steve..." you said in almost a whispery voice; not believing it.
"Hello, (y/n)." he said smiling brightly.
"Steve." you said smiling widely.
You coudn't believe it. There he was indeed.
Without hesitating you threw your arms around him and hugged him with all your strength... as if he would disappear any moment...
He hesitated for a second but then relaxed and wrapped his arms around you...
"I've missed you, (y/n)..." he mumbled into your hair.
"I've missed you too Steve..." you said hugging him even more tightly...
... you didn't want to let go of him...
... not like you had done all this time ago and let him be with Peggy without even expressing your feelings towards him...
After a few more seconds you both pulled away and looked into each others eyes...
