"Summer wake up!" my mom practically screamed.
Kill.me.now. I'm excited to be a senior, see my friends, and all that jazz, its just sometimes I wonder who made school start so early. I mean couldn't it have been like a couple hours later.
"Summer!!" my mom shouted. Oh yea, oops.
"Coming!" I ran downstairs to be greeted by my mom and my little sister, Elizabeth. who is 5 years old and oh so cute. "Morning Lizzy and mom" I said "Morning sweetie----Morning Sum". "Summer I made some breakfast, but hurry so you wont be late." mom said as I began eating. For about 10 minutes we talked about school and just random stuff. After I finished eating I ran upstairs to get ready for school.
I turned on some music and took a quick shower. While in the shower I started singing (more like screaming) All Of Me by John Legend, AIN'T IT FUN by paramore, and Burn by Ellie Goulding. Then I put on a white shirt with a blue blazer and some dark jeans, finally I put on a bit of makeup (lip stick, mascara, and eyeliner), and my white flats.
I picked up my phone from my dresser and called my best friend, April, to see if see if she was ready for me to pick her up. She has a car but you know the whole 'lets save the Earth' thing has kinda rubbed off on us.
"Hello?" I said when the phone stopped ringing.
"Oh hey Sum"
"Hey are you ready?"
"Yea whenever you are ready."
"KK be over in about 5 minutes "
"Byeeeeeeeeeeee" she replied hanging up.
I rolled by eyes at her last comment, that's how she ends every conversation. I grabbed my purse and went downstairs to say goodbye to my family.
"Summer can you do me a big favor?" my mom said in the sweetest voice she could muster. Not good.
"It depends" "Can you please take Liz to school, its on the way to your school?" "But-" "Please" "Fine mom."
"Thanks honey, love you" mom my said before Liz and I walked out the door.
"Yea yea, love you too" I muttered to myself.
I put Liz in her car seat in the back and drove off. I made it to April's house in about five minutes, when she got in the car she greeted me with a 'sup' and surprisingly didn't address Elizabeth, because she loves Lizzy. I drove to the elementary school to drop Liz off and then April asked the dumbest question ever "Why are we here?". I looked at her trying no to keep a straight face and asked "Do you not see the small human in the backseat?"
She turned around and said "Liz, Hi! when did you get here?" and then I just chuckled and got out of the car to take Liz inside to her class. I told April I would be back in a second, she nodded in response and pulled out her phone. I took Liz inside to her teacher, Mrs. Jackson, and made sure Liz had her lunch. I went back out to my car and April and I drove to the school which is only a few minutes from Johnson Elementary (Liz's school) and drove to my school Johnson High, shocker.
Before she got out of the car April spotted our best friends since the beginning of middle school. "Hey there's Josh, Nate, and Hannah!" she screamed as we got out of the car.
She practically sprinted out of the car to them. I just followed behind and laughed as April squeezed all three of the so tight they were turning red. Trust me, I got my dose of pain when she did that to me about two weeks ago when she first came back from dance camp.
"Hey guys!" I said as April let them go. I gave them each hugs, just not as tight as April did.
"Hey"
"Sup"
"Hiya, how was your summer?"
"Great, camp wa-" *RINGGGGGGGGGG* "Ill talk to you guys later at lunch come on Summer" April said and dragged me into the school to get our schedules.
We went into the front office and greeted our principal, Mrs. Jones, and got our schedules from the secretary. April and I had all of our classes together as usual, we headed to our first class which was Math.Whoopie. I usually enjoy math, but I dont want to do it the minute I walk ino the school. Well, I guess this isnt the worst way to start off senior year.

Sup, no okay anyway Hiya sooooo This is my very first story on wattpad and yea im pretty excited. I dont really know what to say in this author's note(if you havent noticed). I hope you guys (if anyone is reading) will enjoy reading this story as much as I'm enjoying writing ................so far.

Stuff about this story
- I do realize that Amandla Stenberg is a little young to play a senior in highschool, but I just really thought she would be a good Summer.You can imagine whoever your heart desires. lol
- This story isnt specifically about a girl doing sports, it is more about steryotypes and more deep stuff like that.
-I changed it from football to karate. That's it.
