Chapter 5

Once grandpa finished he's breakfast, he put his dish into the sink and turned to us

"You boys need to hurry up and eat so you won't be to school late"

"Okay" we said in unison

As I put my book bag inside my locker, a thought came to me.

"Hey Joey ?" I asked ( he's locker is next to mine ) "What did you and Kaiba decide on ?"

"What do you mean, buddy ?" he grabbed his Algebra and science book, then closed his locker and faced me

"Ms. Haruno project. We have to do a 3 page report on one of the Millennium items and sculpt it. Did you forget ? I thought you went over to Kaiba's house to do the project." I grabbed my Algebra and Art book and closed my locker.

He's eyes flicker with Anger before he started shouting "First off , I do remember that stupid project. Second, Kaiba DRAGGED me to his mansion and thirdly, Me and Kaiba didn't even start on the project . The whole time I was there, he basically pick on me .. and if it wasn't that, he would flaunt to me how rich he is." Joey huffed and crossed his arms "Can his head get any bigger ?" I gave a slight hum and continued to let Joey rant

I don't really know, but if I could guess.. this whole feud between them started in 6 grade when Kaiba pushed Joey off the swings. They were never friends. I would know, back then I was basically attached to Joey but even so I wonder why this feud started.

"Yug, Where are you going ? Your passing our classroom" Joey called from behind me

Huh ? Classroom ?

Wait...

When did we start walking to class ?

I turned around and looked at Joey with a confused look. He was standing beside our class door.

"Oh, gawd. Yugi, dont tell me you blank out again" He said while crossing his arms and walking up to me

I huffed "well in my defence, I was in deep thought" Joey chuckled lightly, grabbed my arm and walked back inside our classroom

Once he let go of me, I walked to my seat next to the window, I sat down and put my head against the cool polished wood of my desk

"Yug, buddy You need to stop spacing out" Joey sat down beside me, he sounded worried, but I don't get why he was worried. I only spaced out.No big deal

"......Sorry...." I whisper.

Sorry.. its a word that I used all the time. Matter-of-fact, I can say its at the top of my dictionary of words. I used it when people are Mad, Angry, Worried, or pissed off at me. Most of the time, I do or say things people don't like. I don't want them to be mad or angry at me. It makes me sad, So I apologize....I feel like its the use I could do

It really pains my heart when Joey gets worried about me. He doesn't need to be. Im not special, cute or funny. So why is he worried ? Sometimes I even wonder why he's even my friend ? I mean I get it that we been together since first grade. In first grade, He helped me when when 3rd graders thought it would be funny to pick on a boy who lost his parents a summer ago... and was still crying about it

"Come on, don't be sorry and I told you to stop saying that. Im just worried bout you. I don't want you getting jumped by some child molester. "

My face instantly heated up and my hole mood changed from depression to embarrassed "Joey! D..don't s-say things...... like t-that"

Oh gawd, Im stuttering

"But you know--"

Br~ing Br~ing

Joey was interrupted by the school bell and im glad. I dont think i can handle another of Joey's 'Talk' about molesters 'jumping' me.

"Alright class" Ms. Akio, my algebra teacher clapped her hands " settle down. We have 2 new students-- well they're not necessarily 'new' but they were switched out of Mr. Shuuya algebra and into ours.

"Well, who are they ?" Duke asked. Hmmm, I never knew he was in my algebra class, but then again I never really pay attention or speak to anyone in the class. Unless it was the teacher or Joey

"Yami Sennen... "she said with a bright face.

My eyes went big with shock, My breath got lost somewhere deep inside my lungs, my hands started to shake and sweat.

And while I was over here having a panic attack, Joey was laughing, but he stop when the teacher said the second name.

"And Seto Kaiba" she continued

Yupp, That shut Joey up

So while we were about to faint. the rest of the class went crazy--mostly the girls

When the class settle down ( took ten minutes and 13 detention slips to shut the class up ) the teacher spoke "Sennen and Kaiba, you may enter the class now"
