Chapter three : My answers."How long have you been here?" I heard an unfamiliar voice. A Curt and stern voice. I shuddered.
The criminal !
My heart rate raised up resulting in closing my eyes tightly.
The voice seems to be of an old man. Not very old but probably of my dad's age.
"Turn" Cold and hint of responsibility was dripping from his voice.
What have I done to get into this and being killed? Maybe they will kidnap me? What shall I do?
Save me. It doesn't mean that some hero will come and save me. Never. There is no hero in my life. I am hero myself. I am feminist and can do everything by myself.
I took long a breath before turning to the voice. Slowly, I turned around. My eyes still closed and my hands holding my clothes tightly.
Silence.
Is there really anyone or just illusion?
No voice.
I opened my eye milli metres apart. A blur figure was standing. Curiosity rose and I widely opened my both the eyes to see a man, old.
As you've known that criminals have guns and they shoot their prey on the spot. And the same doesn't goes with me because the person doesn't have any gun but papers.
You are saved.
But no. Even if he doesn't have gun it doesn't mean he can't hurt me.
No smirk as like he caught his prey. His appearance is as normal as any citizen of the country with suit. Normally, criminals and kidnappers have scars but there seemed not even any scratch on his body.
He is scrutinizing me as I am scrutinizing the place and old man.
This place smells a lot. But all the luxurious things are present irrespective of this old, dump place.
I scrunched my nose disgustingly, "S-See, Firstly this place is so smelly. H-How can you stay h-here? And-"
"I don't stay here." curtly he said. Hands folded in front of his chest. He said nothing. Maybe signalling me to continue.
I continued,"Secondly, P-Please for God's sake d-don't kill m-me."
The man went blank," What are you saying? I am doing my job."
Job?! Job my foot. How can you call it as job??!
The old man was standing far away not so in the vicinity. He took step forward....
Then another....
I clutched the table behind me with grip that no one can remove my grip. Atleast to my understanding.
Then another step....
Yes!
An idea struck me. Finally a bulb glowed in my head! Well, not exactly. Nayna, it's time for execution.
As this place is already smelly, I went with the flow. "Ugh....the smell." I wrapped my hand on my nose with one hand. And the other free hand placed on my head.
"Do something." I breathed heavily as if unable to breathe. I took a step forward and staggered back as if I will fall. I blinked numerous times.
And finally lost control over my body and fell with a thump on the ground.
"Wha-" I heard a gasp from the door if the room. Another criminal!Oh so this person have companion too!
Few seconds passed but no sound. Are the people seriously dumb?
