Why don't people talk about platonic heartbreak more? All the attention goes to romantic love, but the ones that have hurt me the most over the years are the friendships. The kind where you think about for months, or even years later. You still get the bad butterflies. You still don't understand.
The kind that makes you afraid to try to be close to somebody again because you fear that the same thing will happen. You're so anxious and cautious about them leaving again. Them being there sometimes, but knowing that it's never going to be the same with them ever again.
You feel like you can feel when it's going to happen, when they're going to leave. And you know it's going to hurt. So it fucking sucks and it hurts.
And it's not treated like it's serious because it's just platonic love.
