"WE'RE LOSING HER"

"DON'T LEAVE ME, DON'T YOU DO THIS TO ME. DON'T LEAVE ME."

"MAPLE, MAPLE, OH, COME ON, STOP, IT WAS JUST A JOKE, ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!"

"Daniel...It's enough, I'm done with this.."

Throwing himself out his seat, the boy quickly wrapped his fingers around his bag's shoulder straps, grasped it tightly and flung it onto his back before running towards the class door, ignoring all yelling from the teacher and the taunting laughs from the students. Breathing heavily, he'd give a quick glare at the teacher who was in the way and gently nudged her aside "as much of an asshole I am, treating a woman like shit isn't part of my ideal self, at least what I consider my ideal self ," and ramming the side of his body against the door before sprinting off after the female pupil who had previously taken off, she had also ignored the teacher's comments and simply left without a word. "Not bloody this again, Maple.. Happens too many fucking times..." Daniel would mutter to himself as his legs carried him, heading straight to a specific place, it was separated into another small building on the school campus to avoid distracting noise. The music department. The music teacher was the only one who took a liking to the two pupils (somewhat) despite being a grumpy old man who seemed to enjoy pushing kids around. Other teachers usually gave out kindness to all their students, however this one seemed to always take favourites. Goddammit Mr Wright.

Luckily due to the placement of the separate department and the location of his current class, the boy could quickly leave the main building out an exit nearby without anyone seeing him except his own teacher and a student or two walking by. As soon as he stepped out, the cold breeze hit his face, he gave out a slight chuckle, the breeze was always such a wonderful feeling against the skin but right now? Not the time to appreciate it deeply. He'd soon reach the miniature (it seemed like an ant in comparison to the main school) building, he would take a slight moment to calm himself and open the door naturally. "If there's any staff around, better not make it seem as if I'm causing any trouble. Again." Thankfully, upon stepping in and taking a hurried glance around, it seemed as if no teachers were around, probably were on the second floor with their classes.

Wandering through the first floor a bit, his eye would catch her stunning figure. A small, slim body figure leaning up against the wall. She was breathing so slow, so deeply with her head down, staring at the carpet beneath her. A few strands of her frizzy, long ginger hair fell into her face and as a response, she very delicately reached up with her thin fingers and pushed it behind her ear. Soon after she had moved her hand to rest on her face, her breathing growing unsteady and quick before returning to the deep breathing routine.

"Maple.." Daniel would bring out in a very soft voice, the expression in his eyes growing more gentle even though moments ago he felt like screaming at her once more for her sudden actions once again.. The girl, Maple would stop breathing for a moment, looking up at him only slightly as if hiding her face behind the strands of hair which fell back in place in front. Regardless of her attempts to hide her facial expression, he could clearly see the redness in her eyes, how watery they seemed again, such brokenness shown simply with a look into another's eyes. She quietly let a few words out, her voice quite shaky, trembling and with a few more pauses and she took more breathes "leave.. me alone, Danny.. you went too.. far this time.. too far.."

Steadily, he took a few steps towards the delicate girl, only for her to respond with shaking her head very slightly, backing away and moving away from the wall. She took off once more. Giving out a half-hearted sigh, he would simply walk after her, following the sounds of her footsteps through the empty corridors towards the few small, soundproof practice rooms. Hearing the door of one lock (click click), he'd take a quick breath in before giving it out, then another deep breath after the first. Shaking his head, a few murmured curse words would leave his lips, a few murmured curse words to himself before standing in front of the door, placing his bag down and then knocking gently on it. "...Maple.." He'd say, in almost an unexpectedly soft whisper, resting his head against the wall, "Let me in just for a moment.. And we can just, talk... I'm sorry for the last few months.. Really.. Please I am..." Resting his head still on the door, he would take an unhurried deep breath, breathing in very deeply, holding it for a few seconds before letting it out again. Slowly once again, he'd take another deep breath, closing his eyes as the palm of his hand would place itself onto the flat surface of the door. Another soft, very quiet word escaped, her name slipped so perfectly out of his lips, such a precious word it seemed from the gentle expression that remained in his voice.. "Maple.."

Although she could hear her friend's voice through the door, even if it was a little muffled she could make out the words, she wouldn't give out any response except her whimpers and cries she'd suddenly cough out after a few moments of silence as she tried to keep her tears in.

He remained silent, simply humming a soft melody to remind her of his presence as she'd continue to cry out. The pain he felt within his chest seemed unbearable, unbearable on so many different layers having built up on top of each other. It was if a knife had impaled him, sliced through the inside and left his body with a bleeding wound all in one moment.. "Such an idiot I've been.. " Daniel muttered out again, the realisation of one's mistakes all at once, tearing down the wall between knowing and understanding all in one moment. Takes a while to understand what you know of a consequence, doesn't it?..

Click, click.

Hearing the sudden, subtle noise he'd perk up slightly, taking a swift step away from the door as it would ever so gradually open up and reveal the small, fragile girl.

Maple.

Innocently, the small girl would stare up at Daniel, staring into his eyes with her red and teary eyes. A shade of red had engulfed her face, dried tears covering her soft skin as a few more still continued to roll down her gentle face. She kept sniffling, trying to keep the tears in more, holding her breath slightly to stop her whimpers.. Her small lips trembled slightly. Carefully, Daniel raised his hand, being ever so mindful of the movement of his arm. Making sure she could see his hand, he would keep it close to her, making sure he moved slow, that his elbow would not move out much, making sure it didn't seem as if he would suddenly raise it too high... and would rest his fingers ever so lightly on her cheek.. A slight flinch at his touch and for a moment she remained stiff before relaxing, giving out a breath and easing into the feeling of his hand against her cheek. She'd smile very slightly before he would wrap his arms around her quickly, enveloping the small girl against his body.

"You're an a-absolute jackass..." Maple would whisper, slightly muffled into his shirt.

"I know, I know... I'm an idiot and I'm lucky you're so forgiving.."

A quiet giggle would be heard from the girl, "T-that's right..." then a shaky breath she'd give out when he'd loosen up the hug and stare down at her. For a moment they simply stared before giving out a laugh and would part, such a sweet girl. Moving his fingers off her cheek, he'd move them upwards and through her perfect ginger hair, feeling the soft strands against his hand.

"...L-look, it's quite b-beautiful, i-isn't it?.." She would quietly give out, giving him a wonderful smile before moving her focus towards a window nearby, he soon after then turned to look out of it. A magnificent tree stood outside the window, it's bark seemed to twist so perfectly and it's branches danced in the breeze with it's beautiful vibrant, green leaves, though, a few seemed to have begun losing their colour, quite yellow now. Though, not any less stunning. His eyes then moved towards one leaf of a more deeper shade of orange, ever so steadily falling from it's place to finally rest on the grassy ground. "Hadn't noticed it before.. Didn't they have something in front of this window? Must've moved it. It's too bad we're not allowed round that part of the campus, isn't it?.. It must be great to sit under during the hot summers. Too bad summer is ending now, mm?" Giving a slight nod, Maple would look up at Daniel and open her mouth to say something before being cut off by the sound of another voice.

"HEY! What are you doing out of class?!"

Oh shit.
