"Who are you?" I asked the monster "you'll find out soon." It said.
Everything started on a cool day in the fall. I was walking home from school kicking leaves with my feet when suddenly I heard my name.
"Emma!" Someone called out. it was Melissa, she was the most popular girl in my class. I wondered why she wanted to talk to me "wait up!" she said. "Whatcha doing?" I gave her a funny look. "I'm walking home." I said. she started laughing "OMG, I'm so stupid!" she said.
in my mind I was thinking "yeah, I know." but I didn't dare to say it out loud. I just laughed along. She started to gossip about all the girls in my class but I didn't even listen.
