savior

i hide and cower

but all i see is his face

he's everywhere i go

i try to run

but he's always faster

i try to hide

but he always finds me

i'm always tired now

i have no one to help me

i'm all alone

can't he see all the pain he causes me?

he yells when i'm right or wrong

yet he says i'm the one who needs punished

he hits me when i cry

i get sore and stiff

he gets drunk

while he shakes with excitement

i scramble away in horror

as he comes closer

he grabs my ankle and pulls

i try to get a hold on anything

but i just get pulled to his side

i shake with fear

while he stands over me

he reaches down and yanks me up

i cry out in pain
