A blessing and a curse
Is the weight of the world
When placed upon your shoulder
And gently unfurled
To show the wisdom of past
And the things that have been
And show life's indecisiveness
For they can't be again
As in a proper game of chess
There's a player and his pawn
No hindrance of death
Spoils creatures of dawn
With blood spilled and wars fought
No common ground received
Spoken words and written thoughts
Make nothing more believed
Defiance stems from ignorance
When worldly battles ensue
A tryst between the mind and the darkness
Spares only a few
