Continuation from last chapter just a different setting
Jerome, Jayde, and Jayda walked in the Jewlery store in Palm Outlet which is a outside mall
Jayde was in the middle, Jerome was holding one hand and Jayda was holding the other
"What are we doing again?" Jayde asked.
"We're picking our wedding bands and then going to the aquarium." Jerome said.
"What are wedding bands?" Jayde asked looking up at her big sister?
"The same as matchimg wedding rings, me and Rome just never been able to afford them because we had to save all our money to start our jewelry company." Jayda said.
"Legally, emotionally, and physically we married, we got married before we turned nineteen but we never had a big wedding and you can't have a big wedding without wedding rings
Jayde." Jerome said looking down at Jayde as they stopped at a glass counter that held matching wedding bands inside."So that's why we're here." Jayde said.
"Yes and you get the privelege to pick out our wedding rings, go ahead and look." Jayda said smiling.
"Ok yay." Jayde said beginning to look and her cellphone went off.
"Excuse me y'all." Jayda said walking away to answer it as she pulled it out looking at the caller ID.
It was her best friend Cleopatra
Jayda answered and held the phone to her ear
Cleopatra: "Hey I'm so sorry about yesterday, I got caught up, what was that something I wouldn't believe happened that you wanted to tell me yesterday?"
Jayda: "You sure you got time to listen, I'm kinda' in the middle of something with Jerome and Jayde right now, I'm spending time with them."
Cleopatra: "Oh' my fucking God uggggh'."
Jayda was taken back
Jayda: "Huh', what was that?"
Cleopatra: "We never have time for each other, I miss my best friend, it's like every time we try to talk you busy or I'm busy, I feel like all we ever do is text, ever since me and Khalid moved to Florida we grew further apart from each other and that's not cool cause' we known each other since seventh grade, Jayda don't you miss us, that close friendship we had, I know I do, you like my sister but I feel like we haven't been acting like it for the past four years."
Jayda had tears sliding from her eyes because Cleopatra was right
Jayda: "Yeah but you and your husband are there and me and my husband are here so what can we really do to fix that, nothing, because we live in two different states and I know you made new friends, it's not like you need me anymore so that's why I distanced myself."
