She had been innocent.

So long ago, I watched her play with the feathers on the ground. Her pigtails springing with each movement.

Originally I didn't want her. When Damon found her, and brought her to me, I told him to take her away, I didn't want the little angel running amok in my palace. I told him, that if he wanted to raise her he could do it in his personal suite.

He took that baby everywhere. One day, after a few years, he asked me if I could send a servant to pick her up from her room and take her to the dining hall for him while he was busy.  However, I decided to pick her up myself.

I don't know why I did it, but I did.

I walked to Damon's chambers, and opened the door. There were feathers all over, and a torn pillow next to a pillar. Evidently the pillow had to be punished in some way, so she had taken it and beaten it against the wall until it broke, now she was running around the floor, giggling and chasing the feathers flying into the air after her. Her hair was bouncing around, and she looked so happy. I couldn't help but smile. She saw me, her eyes widened with curiosity. Then she bowed to me, like she saw Damon do.

After I told her that I was there to take her to dinner, she smiled and rushed over. She reached out for my hand, and gingerly I took it. And together we walked to the dining hall.
After dinner, I told Damon that she was allowed anywhere in my palace, as long as she was accompanied by a trusted member of my upper staff.

I grew to love this little girl, her big eyes wide with curiosity, her hair flowing and springing with each step. Her words were always so kind, but with a subtle edge to them, she knew that she was powerful and that she was special.

As she grew older I got her a personal tutor, specifically to teach her the most important stuff, history; languages, latin, greek, english, and hebrew specifically; basic science and math; a rigorous training program to keep her physically at her best; and anything she wanted to learn. She loved learning about history, and wanted to know everything. She became physically lean and strong.

I expected her to cower in fear, and possibly to run away after finding out who I was, and what she was. However, she came to me and told me that she is honoured to live with me in my palace, and that she is grateful for the live she was given.

After time i noticed she began to change; her angelic demeanor slowly shifted to mischievousness and devilish. The playful innocence I had observed while she was younger began to dissappear. At first I was shocked to realize that I was sad to see the innocent girl go. And then I realized that she was becoming a very strong, very devilish teenager. I was so proud.

Me and Damon continued to raise the child, we raised her together. Damon was thrilled to have found something to spark my interest, and he was thrilled in the girls achievements. I enjoyed seeing the girls smiling face each day at meals, and hearing about her exploits.

As she got older and older, I talked with her about angels, demons, and fallen angels. I warned her about what was happening to her, and (although it pained my heart) I told her that if she wished we would take her back to the over world, and we would walk her as close as we could to heaven, so she could be with her own kind.

She laughed in my face, a full throated, stomach aching laugh. She told me that she was already with her own kind. And that she never wanted to leave.

And she never did. She stayed with us in my palace. Although when she turned 14, I decided to show her the world, and we would stay away from eden. I showed her Paris, Hollywood, London, Tokyo, New York city, quiet secluded beaches, and busy cities. Anything and everything she desired.

I tried to warn her about humans, about their fragileness, their shortcomings, their bad habits. However, apparently I hadn't told her enough. That or the boy did something very wrong.

That was the first time she killed someone.

Needless to say, I was proud.

She hadn't fallen yet,and she felt horrible after, we went back home, and she explained what had happened. The boy had catcalled her, began to follow her, and tried to grab her. She attacked him, and forgot her own strength and had killed him. I tried my best to comfort her, but Damon managed to calm her down, and explain things to her.

It took a while for her to get the nerves to go back out into the world, but when she did, I knew she was happy. She went on a vigilante murder spree, only targeting the worst of humans, the murderers, the gangs, the rapists, the drug lords. She used my ways to help others.

She wanted to pledge herself to me, to truly become a fallen angel. But I refused. I wanted her to pledge, but I didn't want her to pledge to me without fully understanding he meaning behind the pledge. And if I accepted her pledge before her wings sprouted, she would only be accepted as an underling, as inferior to the fallen. If it was anyone but her, I would have accepted. But I would not let this child I had grown to love be less than what she deserved to be. That meant she must wait a little bit longer.

Four year later she became 18. She had spent most of her time on her revenge spree, though she still come to dinner every night. Now that she was an adult, I had a few things for her to choose from.

The night of her 18th birthday was her night of pledging. I had a dress made for her, one shoulder with a low back cut for her wings to sprout, tight at the top, and flowing from the waist down, it was black as soot, with blood red gems.

That was the night, she would either chose to become a princess in my realm, or she could choose to forsake me and my kingdom, and choose to be with her own. I knew her choice, but she still has this last chance to change her mind, and to become an angel.

The time had come for her to choose. I explained everything I needed to, and then it was her turn to choose.

She walked up to me in her pledging dress, she gave me a smirk, as she knelt in front of me, bowing her head. And repeated the pledge.

I pledge myself to the Lord of the dark. The grand king Satan.
I pledge to follow thy command and to serve you as a member of the fallen.
I pledge to continue the spread of evil in the world.
I pledge myself forever and always to thy rule.

I glanced at Damon, who looked prouder than a father at his child's graduation. I accepted her pledge. And reached out to her, and gently touched her back, exactly between her shoulderblades.

At my touch, brilliant wings of black sprouted from her back. They grew until her wingspan was about 5 feet long. Her feathers were black, in a shade do dark, it appeared to absorb all the nearby light.

She looked up, smiling the same smile of happiness that she had as a child chasing the feathers. She stood up, facing me, but before she had the chance to turn to face the others and find out which commanding officer would claim her. I stopped her. And declared to all of my kingdom. That she was to be treated as my daughter, and the princess of the realm.

Damon was shocked. For nearly three millenia ago, I declared him as my right hand, and as my prince. And now I just made the child he had raised, his sister in name.

The child was shocked, her eyes wide, her lips beginning to raise is a shocked smile. I beakoned her to me, and placed on her head a black and silver tiara. My subjects all knelt to her, and accepted her.

She looked so beautiful.

"And she is still beautiful. I have been honoured to have her in my life, and I am proud in her desision today, to get married to Captain Ryker."

I looked at the bride. Her dress was a dark steely grey. With blood red gems and silver embroidery. She smiled at me, her eyes full of joy and happiness.

"I hope that you will continue to grow, and learn. And that you will remember that you will always make me proud
