"We're here!" Yamaguchi opened his front door and ran inside followed by tsukkishima who was carrying a relatively large bag compared to his schoolbag. The two first years were having another sleepover like they had many times before.
(First sleepover)
Kei! Yamaguchi is here.
The 10 year old walked downstairs to the front door where a small boy was standing in the hall."Hi tsukki!" The boy said excitedly. The two met a long time ago but tsukkishima Kei wasn't really the type for sleepovers. So It took a while until yamaguchi convinced him to let him stay at his house for a night, but tsukki was secretly excited. The two walked up to tsukki's room and tsukki showed his dinosaurs and glow in the dark stars on the ceiling.
When it was evening the two laid down in their pajamas. yamaguchi pointed at the moon outside the window. "Look tsukki! It's the moon. Isn't it pretty?"
"I guess" the blonde replied.
"I think the moon is the prettiest thing ever! Nothing is prettier than the moon."
Tsukki looked at the freckled boy. "Well some things are prettier""you think? Like what?"
Tsukki blushed a bit and thanked the Lord that it was dark so yamaguchi couldn't notice. "N-nevermind.. forget it." He looked away to make sure he wasn't visible and didn't turn back until yamaguchi said goodnight and fell asleep. The feelings little Kei had were unexplainable. He didn't understand them at all and thought about it while staring at the moon until he fell asleep as well. "I get why he thinks the moon is pretty" he mumbled to
Himself before falling asleepThe first few times the sleepovers were at tsukki's house but after a long time yamaguchi convinced him once more and they went to his house.
The two boys walked up to yamaguchi's room and got everything ready for the night. Usually they wouldn't do that much. They'd have dinner, talk a bit and go to sleep. That's exactly what they did this time. Yamaguchi looked up at his own ceiling where a single star was placed.
(First sleepover)
"See? I told you having a sleepover is fun! We should do it again. We'll watch the stars on your ceiling again since they're so pretty!" Yamaguchi smiled brightly at his friend. "Yeah" Tsukki responded, startling the freckled boy as he continued. "But you can just take one if you like them that much.."He climbed on his bed to reach one of the many stars. "For real? Thanks tsukki!" Tsukkishima handed over a single star and yamaguchi took it immediately."I'll hang it up on my ceiling as well! I'll see you Monday at school!" He said as he ran out."Remember when I gave you that star?" Tsukki broke the silence. "Y-yeah. It was after our first sleepover." Yamaguchi thought about all the sleepovers they had and the amount of things he learnt from someone who is so non talkative like tsukki. He also remembered in the beginning of this year, when he told tsukki about the bullies that he gained on this school. He thought it would finally be over at his new school but no.
(First sleepover in highschool)
Tsukki knocked on the door. "Yamaguchi? Are you in here?" He walked in with his bag for yet another sleepover. They arranged it a while ago but tsukki didn't hear anything from yamaguchi today. When he walked in he saw yamaguchi crying on his bed. Even though tsukki might not be the best in cheering people up, at least he tried. He dropped his back and sat on yamaguchi's bed, lifting him up and hugging him. That was when yamaguchi broke and told tsukkishima about the people who made fun of his hair and freckles. And tsukki kept talking about how they were talking nonsense and that he was amazing. It always cheered yamaguchi up when those words came from tsukki since he is not a person who easily says such things. They sat there in silence for a while until they were called for dinner.
