Eryn sat at her desk, looking at the young teen in front of her. He looked back blankly, not uttering a word.
"What's your name?" She asked him, hoping that the hours they spent in the room together would get him to finally speak.
The teen gave her a distant, sad look, picking up the notepad from his left pants pocket.
He wrote down, taking an unusual amount of time to write. His eyebrows fusing together, his lips forming a slight from.
Eryn noticed he didn't put back the pen he was using, a simple ballpoint pen from his other pocket.
He never seemed to but that down.
He slipped her the note, tearing it out of his notepad forcefully. (Probably not a challenge for his big, muscular arms. Eryn couldn't help but think)
His handwriting scratchy, barely readable to her. But she managed to find the point he wanted to come across.
Shouldn't you already know?
"I'm asking you." Eryn said, gently talking to him. One wrong move might break him.
You already know it
He wrote again, his lips pressing in a thin line. Slidding another piece of ripped out paper to her. She read it quickly, trying to ignore his stares.
His dull green eyes started boring into her.
Eryn could feel a blush go to her cheeks. "Just tell me your name." She pleased.
"Please." She whispered, her voice soft.
Once again, he looked at her blankly.
Eryn decided to stare back. The teens eyes welled with tears, and she could see him biting his bottom lip. Hard enough to draw blood.
Blood slowly fell down his chin, hitting his knuckles as he placed his trembling hands (put into fists t the moment) onto Eryn's desk.
"Are you okay?" Eryn found herself asking.
"Look, I didn't want to be a half-blood." He told her, voice cracking as a tear slid down his cheek.
Eryn opened her mouth a little, resisting a gasp.
She quickly closed her mouth.
"Percy–" Percy let out a sad chuckle. "I told you you knew my name." He murmured, his green eyes glossy with tears.
"Sit down, on the bed." Eryn commanded, getting up from her office chair herself.
Percy got up, trudging over to the cot in the corner. "Lay down." Eryn told the raven haired teen, grabbing a box of tissues, her phone, and a small recording device from her boss.
She wheeled her chair over to Percy.
"Now speak." She said, hitting the record button.
Percy too a deep breath, letting it out shakily. Then, he repeated the first words he had said in months.
"Look, I didn't want to be a half-blood."
