Meghan's P.O.V
I take a seat on the grass, trying to control my breathing. The tree above me is currently shading the sun from my face as I lay down, my eyes slipping shut.
It has been an hour since I got that message from Drake. I have been trying to call him ever since lunch ended but he hasn't been answering, which has been annoying me to the point where I just want to punch the closest person near me.
I also haven't seen or heard from Jake which is worrying me too. It's all sketchy that he isn't answering my calls or texts but he couldn't be up to anything bad right? I mean, Jake is good... so what reason does he have that makes him not reply to any of my messages or at least call me back?
Suddenly, a name pops into my mind and I bring my phone out of my pocket. I turn it on and immediately press the contacts, scrolling down until I come across H. When I find her name, I click on it and press my phone to my ear.
"Come on... pick up." I mutter as I continue to hear the long beeps. Suddenly, Hailey answers the phone and I almost jump as I prepare to spill everything.
"Hailey, you need to keep a close eye on Charlie because Drake apparently went to the hospital and threatened that he will take her if I don't help get Evie back to her." I say incredibly fast and Hailey let's out a laugh.
"Wait, slow down. What?"
"Drake threatened to take Charlie!" I practically shout and I hear Hailey's laugh stop as my words register in her mind.
"When?"
"Just an hour ago. You need to keep an eye on her Hailey, I'm serious. I need you to do this for me." I say, my heart racing at all of the possibilities that could happen if Hailey wasn't watching Charlie's room.
"I'll make my way to the hospital now." Hailey says and I hear the sound of a door shutting. "Are you going to do what he tells you to do though? It might be a trap." Hailey says and I breathe out a sigh.
"I know and I am coming up with a plan. I just need to message everyone about it." Suddenly, my phone beeps and I pull it away from my ear to see that Jake is calling me. "Anyway, I have to go. Jake is calling and I need to answer." I explain and I hear the sound of a car starting.
"Okay, I'll call you later." Hailey says and I hang up the phone and answer Jake's incoming call. When I put the phone on speaker, I narrow my eyes at Jake's name.
"You dick! I have been calling you and you haven't been answering! What the fuck were you doing?" I snap and I hear Jake sigh.
"I was with the principle. We were talking about your grades and all that. Anyway, what's wrong?" Jake asks and I stand up, running a hand through my blonde hair.
"Meet me in the parking lot. Now."

"Wait, what?" Jake asks, his eyes wide and I nod, leaning against my motorcycle. "That prick!" Jake snaps and lick my dry lips.
"I know and I have a plan. But you can not tell Hannah about it." I say and before Jake can say a word, I cut him off. "And that means that the tracking device has to be off of that car." I say and Jake's eyes widen even more.
