I picked around inside the closet looking for a perfect gown with perfect warm accessories, up in Babylon it's not that cold, it isn't the kind of weather that makes snow produce from the sky, it's just really chilly there, and people who aren't prepared, die, they get frostbite on their fingers and toes, and suffer from coughs, they die after two days, today's modern medicine doesn't work that well, we've caused most deaths than saves trying to work on remidies and medicine, it's still my birthday, in my family, we celebrate our birthdays for a week, we don't know exactly when our birthdays are, and our mothers weren't worried on how old we were, and whenever we feel like we feel older, it's our birthday, we get a slice of bread on the last day of the week, and get showered with gifts for a week, it's my favorite time of the year, execpt springtime, I love the flowers bloom and the smell, but back to the point, I found a perfect outfit and I take off my clothes, and the first thing I do every time I change is but my necklace on, so I think I'm going to put on the necklace that Chris bought from Bruce, it's more beautiful than ever, I lift up my hair and I slip the necklace on, I pick up the pendant and I'm staring at this white pearl, and the next minute it starts to form a unholy black fog around the white ball, and it's suddenly pitch black. I stare at it for minutes on end, it doesn't change, I take it off, and it returns to white, and when I put it back on it does the same thing, I freak out for a couple of seconds, Chris barges through the door, I'm just there screaming, "CHRIS! GET OUT!" Chris obeys, and I shut off my mind from him, and I put on my fantastic new warm oufit, after I'm done I unhinge my mind from being closed off, and I walk over to the door, and I knock 3 times, Chris comes in and acts like nothing happened, that just torks me off, he should be saying something about it but he's not, I think in my head to myself, "Damn it, I forgot, Chris now knows." Chris laughs so hard he's hitting himself, then he speaks, "Sorry Liz, I just ran down because I felt that something scared you, it probably was me or the pendant, hand it over." I surrendered the pendant, I didn't want to but I did, for Chris, he takes it gently because he can feel my attachment to it, he examines it, a toss a turn a smell, a deep stare, nothing happens, Chris tosses into my hands quickly to see if it changes, and I catch it and it does, we both freak out for a second, Chris takes back the necklace, he makes a b-line to the door and walks uo the stairs onto the deck, he speaks, "I'm sorry Rose but I have to do this." He chucks the pendant into the water. I would agree with Chris, it looks evil, I should have chucked earlier. Chris speaks,"I'm really sorry, We'll get you a new one that isn't evil." "Promise?" "Promise."
