A Snake In The Pride Of Lions

Rose Weasley could hear the sound of her footsteps echo in the hallway. In the darkness, she made her way across the classrooms stopping at the kitchen. She was longing for a slice of pie, skipping dinner to visit the library wasn't something normal people would do. But then, who could call Rose Granger Weasley, daughter of 2/3rds of the golden trio, normal?
She shook her head and began forwards. The Gryffindor common room was just two hallways away. She had just crossed the first one, when she stopped in her tracks.
In front of her, a figure in a black cloak, was leaning against a wall. Checking his watch and then the hallway, as the first waiting for someone. As she moved forward, his muscular body and pale blonde hair became more prominent.
Realizing who he was, she lifted her head in pride as she made past him, only to be stopped.

"on for a midnight stroll are we Weasley? Aren't you a prefect? What will mommy and daddy say if they find out that their baby girl is bending the rules?"

Seeming to lack patience, she ignored him. She wasn't in the best mood right now, and hexing that git would only make it worse.

"ignoring me are you Weasley? Isn't it a herculean task?" He said following her.

"shove off Malfoy. I'm not in the mood. Go pester somebody else. "

Scorpius Malfoy sniggered as he continued following her. What a stalker!!

"Don't you have someone else to annoy Malfoy?"

"I do, but you're my favorite one. You're cute when you get annoyed. Plus, I need to get into the Gryffindor common room. Albus and I had to meet there.

She sighed. Even though the boy was out of her tolerance levels, she had to bear him. Everyday. Why you ask? Because he was best friends with her best friend and cousin. Albus Severus Potter.

Mumbling the password to the fat lady, she went inside, flinging herself onto her two best friends, both who smiled concerned smiles at her, as they let her lie down on them.

As her best friend Jack, stroked her hair, Ali said, " you need to relax Rosie, all the studying is not so good for you. You need some rest."

Rose mumbled something and snuggled into Jack. Breathing in his Maple syrup smell. She felt her eyes drooping until a yell jerked her awake

"no no no no no!!!" James Potter, her elder cousin, more like elder brother, picked Rose up away from Jack. " no snuggling with my sis yo!" he hissed at Jack.

She just smiled as she fell asleep in her big brother's arms. All was well until the King lion noticed a Snake In The Pride Of Lions.
James growled at Malfoy whom Rose had completely forgotten about.

Albus Potter said goodnight to everyone and dragged his best friend out with him

And As Malfoy winked at the Gryffindors and headed out with her cousin, Rose couldn't help but think, was Malfoy waiting for her?
