Snow

Cold, yet soft.

[9 months later]

Narrator's POV (Yas bbs)

Jihyo hid in the snow as the guard-dogs roamed the area. 

"Search every inch of this forest!" the head of the search team shouted. "we can't lose her!"

She breathes heavily as she shivers and closes her eyes.

"Stay awake Jihyo.." she thought positively.

She looked back and saw the silhouettes of the search team fading.

She sighed a breathe of relief and clears away the snow from her body.

She digs around it and finds a rock.  picked it up and used it to free herself from the shackles. She rubs her wounded wrists as she looks around.

"It's been so long..." She said as she looked up the sky.

She was held prison in a guarded facility around the North.

She was locked there for 9 months, being lectured and taught.

This was an order from her mother. 

"I'm doomed," she looks at her leg that was shot earlier. It was getting colder and colder, making it hard for her to breathe. 

"Is this the end?"

She rested her back on a tree. 

"I haven't even said good bye to my teachers, classmates, my siblings.." 

She sighed and closed her eyes. 

"..to Mina.." 

She opened her eyes as tears fell from her face. 

"No.." She held onto the tree for support to stand. "I need to see them, to see her."

She rips a part of her coat and ties it onto the wounded part if her leg.

She stands up while being supported by her right hand that was pressing on to the tree.

She follows the icy and snowy trail, hoping for a miracle to happen.

Nayeon wore her coat and took her scarf from the hook. She puts her boots on and goes outside. 

"Im Nayeon! What took you so long?" Jinyoung smiled. 

"Sorry, I was actually too lazy to even walk out my front door," she scoffs. 

"Lose the attitude," he sat and walked towards her. "Ready to boost your confidence? I got some new opponents for you to practice on."

"Atleast let me get ready jeez," Nayeon punched him lightly. Jinyoung on the other hand laughed and pats her back. "I'm still uneasy about this decision you have made."

"I need this, genuinely," she said. "I need to change myself, for the better."

"While you're changing for the better, try changing your clothes as well, they're waiting," he laughs.

"Alright, alright," Nayeon chuckles as she heads towards her locker. "Jeongie, get ready to see a new me."

"2 weeks left and it's Christmas, it's nice how the time flies so fast," Jeongyeon looked at Momo who was smiling. "I wish it was always like this.."

"I know.." Momo looked at Jeongyeon's hands and saw a small red box. "What's the box for Jeongie?"

"Nothing Moguri, just a wee-lil box," Jeongyeon smiles.
