A/N: Hey guys I'm a new writer to wattpad but i'm not a new reader, I hope you enjoy my book about a girl who's life has just began!

I stare out the window hopelessly wondering what life will bring as I start my new life in the city,I'm gonna miss my small town home in kansas and all my friends. See, were moving here because my mom got a job offer in New Jersey and it was promised to her she will be paid more but work more harsh hours. I'm pretty much by myself all the time. My father died in the Navy Air Force and my brother Harry and my sister Mary had stayed in Kansas so they could finish the rest of their education there! I was always "Amamda, Daddy's Little Girl" I missed my dad and he pushed me the most to be what I want to be.

"Hey Amamda, sweetie" my mother called from the front seat.

"Yes Mom"? I answered back in a kind of annoyed tone.

"Are you okay, I know your going through something with this move and I know you wanted to stay in Kansas and continue high school there, but it's for the better, okay hun"!?

"Mom!, you don't understand how hard it'll be to adapt to a new environment ", it'll be hard for me to make new friends and play on the volleyball team with people I barely know" I loved my friends and volleyball team back home in Kansas"!

"HEY!, I know it'll be hard, but your a beautiful, and friendly person, and anyone would be stupid not to like you, okay"!

"Yeah, whatever mom but what about the volleyball team, I wanna play varsity, I was already on Varsity in Kansas what if they think I'm not talented enough to be on their varsity team"!

"Amamda Jasmine Lesile Grenada, I'm sure you are talented enough to make varsity team if they don't except you their stupid too!"

"I guess so mother"! I said with a British accent which I was pretty good at!

"Don't call me mother like that, call me mom when you say it like that it makes me feel old"

I snickered with laughter "Okay Mom"!

About another 5 more hours of driving we finally arrived at the new house, it was big and a organeish, yellowish color. What looked like it had alot of rooms. It was a beautiful home but alot of space for 2 people but really one. My mom works in agriculture and she works for days at a time sometimes she doesn't come home for at least a week or 2. I appreciate my moms hard work but I miss her sometimes. I pretty much got used to be alone in Kansas but I had friends over sometimes or I would go to parties.

"Mom, this house is amazing"! I told her in complete awe

I know, when I saw on the website I couldn't resist"! She said her eyes sparkling at the house that stood before us.

"How much did it cost?" I asked still in amazement.

"That is none of your business, financial business is financial business"

"Okay okay mom" I said in a sorrowful manner.

We had a U-Haul attached to my dads old truck that we left with from Kansas. We walked up to the house and my mom opened the door, and walked in the house.

My mouth fell open as I saw the huge living room and kitchen with a 2 extra rooms downstairs. 3 bathrooms downstairs, we walked up the stairs. There were 4 rooms upstairs plus 2 bathrooms one in the hall way and one in another room.

I choose the room down the hallway to the left. It was the room right next to the bathroom. I walked into the room and there was wood flooring and marble window ledges!

"AMANDA, COME DOWN AND START TAKING BOXES INSIDE THE HOUSE PLEASE," She yelled from downstairs

I walked downstairs and walked out the door and grabbed bout 4 of the boxes that belonged to me and go in my room. I had to get a new bed because my other was left for my sister to have.

I walked up the long flight of stairs and placed the 4 boxes I held on the wood flooring! I went downstairs to get the rest of my boxes. I helped my mom get the rest of the boxes and she unpacked only the kitchen stuff for now.

*** THE NEXTDAY
My eyes fluttered open and I checked my phone my phone flashed Saturday March 25, 2018 9:30 am, then my nose noticed the sweet smell of pancakes and sasauges with eggs!

I was sleeping on the couch until the bed my mom ordered for me came.

I got off the couch in the what I assumed was gonna be the guest room, I stood to my feet and went into the bathroom and turned on the shower. I let the water run to get warm why I went to the room that was mine and I went through the boxes that had my clothes in them.

I shuffled through the boxes and found a blue bra and blue panties to follow and then I pulled out a twenty one pilots sweatshirt with a pair of skinny blue jeans. I jumped into the shower and just soaked for a minute it was relaxing.

"Amanda are you coming down for breakfast"? My mother asker from downstairs.

"Yes mom, just a few seconds I just hopped out the shower" I said responding back to her.

I dryed off and put some lotion on. I slipped on my blue bra and panties set. Then slipped on my sweatshirt and my jeans and ran downstairs into the kitchen, I oiled my braids and threw them in a easy ponytail.

My mom had already had my plate prepared but she was gone off to work she left a note saying. From Mom: I'm sorry I couldn't have breakfast with you this morning I couldn't be late on my 1st day. Enjoy your breakfast, I love you so much.

I read the pink sticky note with a smile and ate my breakfast.

I ate my breakfast wondering when I would be starting school again.
