I grabbed my phone from my night stand and turned off my alarm. I was honestly really happy today was Friday and even happier cause next week I graduate from this hell hole. I checked the notifications on my phone and replied to who text me. I sat my phone down and grabbed my towel and went into my bathroom to do my thang.
~10 min later~
I applied some coconut conditioner to my hair and just left it flowing down my back. I went back into my room and put on some baby lotion. Then went to my closet and grabbed my cropped tank top that said " Trouble" some baby blue jeans that were ripped in the knees and my retro 6's to match. I went back into my bathroom and applied a little makeup I looked down at my phone to check the time and it was almost time for me to go. As I was applying my last bit of eye liner I heard someone scream. I quickly ran to my night stand and grabbed the gun my brother left me. I slowly opened my door to now hear someone crying I started walking towards the living room then I stopped once I seen who it was. It felt like my body had just shut down on me.
My mom was just laying there motion less in my nona arms there was blood and pills all over the place. I ran to her side and all I could do was cry her face was all bloody and she had white stuff foaming out her mouth.
"chanel call the police" my nona said her voice trembling with every word.
I nodded my head and ran to my room to get my phone I called the police then ran back in there to my nona.
~5 min later ~
The ambulance arrived and came in to get my mom my nona road with them to the hospital while I took my car following behind.
Me and my nona sat in the waiting room she was holding me tight and saying a prayer for my mother.
~2 hours later~
"Family of Elexia Alexander"
Me and my nona popped up rushed to the doctor hoping for some good news but the look on his face said different.
"I am very sorry we tried everything we could to save her"
It felt as if someone just threw a thousand knifes at me. I didn't know what to do my mind just went blank my nona dropped to the floor and was just screaming but all I could do was just stand there and let those words sink in.
My mother was gone.
When I finally snapped back into reality I got down with my nona and just held her. She asked the doctor if she could go back there with her and he nodded his head and helped her up but before she got up she told me to leave before those people com. I got up and gave her a tight hug and walked out to my car all I could do was just sit there as tear rolled down my face. I started my car and headed towards my house.
It was so hard walking back in seeing everything I walked into my room and grabbed my suit cases and packed all my stuff that I needed. I started loading my things up in my car when I got all the things out of my room. I walked to my moms room and went into her closet to get the money she had hidden in case of an emergency. I put it all in a bag and closed the safe as I was walking out of her room I saw a picture of me and her sitting on her night stand. I grabbed the picture and just held it letting a few more tears slip from my eyes I looked back down and there was her crystal necklace that she used to always wear. I grabbed that to and walked out of her room closing the door I took one last look around before I walked out.As I got into my car I looked down at the plane tickets for Florida I bought for me and my mom to visit my brothers. I started my car and headed towards the school first to get my diploma since I'm leaving. I got back into my car sat my stuff down and started my way to the airport.
~1 hour later~
I grabbed everything out the car and put it on one of those lil carrier thing and gave the man my car keys. I went and took a seat in one of the chairs and just laid back. As I was laying there my phone started ringing it was nona.
"hey nona"
"sweet pea how are you and where are you"
"im at the airport im going to Florida" I said
" te amo chanel por favor tenga cuidado"she said with so much sadness in her voice.
"love you to n-
'"flight for Miami, Florida please exit through doors B5"
"nona I have to go I love you so much" I hung up the phone and grabbed my things and started heading towards the exit the lady let me on the plane even though my ticket was for tonight. I put my things in the luggage holder but I still had to hold some cause I had a lot of stuff.
"Everyone please buckle your seat belts as we take off"the flight attend said.
As we were taking off I looked out of the tiny window and a tear slipped out and just rolled down my face. I shut the window and laid back closing my eyes letting sleep take over my body.
