As I lay in my bed and think about what could happen in the next month with this beautiful creature in the room next to me. He looked at me like he cared about me. Could he possibly at all be into me? He was so concerned when I ran into the bathroom. Did he really sit out there for 20 minutes for me? He probably dates a ton of girls plus I'm scrawny. I couldn't be with him. Then I heard it. Fucking thunder. I hated thunderstorms they always came with lightning, and lightning was so fucking unpredictable. BOOM. It was like a damn bomb it was so loud. I grabbed a blanket and walked out of my room. I went out in the dark living room, and fell on the couch.
"What the hell."
I felt a huge lump on the couch when I sat down I immediately stood up and ran over to the light switch. I flicked it on to see Scott laying on the couch shirtless. Holy fuck.
"Sorry I didn't mean to...I...I just hate thunder storms."
"Thats okay I do too, look this couch is a pullout."
He stood up to reveal him in nothing but plaid boxers his upper left shoulder had a lightbulb tattoo on it. Oh god this is torture. My face turned red as soon as he stood up. SHIT! He saw me!
"You ok?"
"Yeah Scott, I'm fine."
When the bed was out he stood back and let me choose what side of the bed I wanted. I just wanted to be as far from the window as possible. I lied down on the right side of the bed. I took my blanket and tucked it in between my legs. Then I took an earbud, placed it in my ear and played my favorite playlist.
"Watcha listening to?"
"Oh..uh..its this duet called Cults and they play soft kinda indie electric music."
"Oh would you mind if I listened?"
"NO...I...uh I meant to say, no its fine you can if you want to."
"Ok.."
He took the earbud and he placed it in his ear.
"Wow..I've never heard anything like this..it's calming."
"I know."
"Her voice is so nice."
I chuckled, "I know."
Then the music was ours and we fell asleep in the same bed at the same time because we were scared of the same thing. And that night there was no one...but us.
