8: FINALLY

✯LOGAN'S POV✯
I enter the mall, trying to clear my mind. I don't normally buy clothes for myself but I need a distraction. I walk into the first store I see, not even stopping to look at what store it is. As I walk through the store looking for the men's section, I somehow manage to make my way to the woman's section instead. I'm not sure why, but I begin looking through the clothes. I find a short black skirt and take it off the rack. This would look good on Y/N. WHAT AM I THINKING? I blush bright red and quickly put the skirt back on the rack. I scurry out of the woman's section and into the men's as fast as I can without drawing attention. By the time I'm finished shopping, 30 minutes have past by. I walk out the door having bought nothing but a plain blue t-shirt. And that's when I see what I have been hoping to avoid for at least a few days. Y/N. I debate running behind the potted plant on my right but decide that that would draw way to much attention and she would probably end up noticing me. Instead, I just stand still hoping that maybe she'll walk by. But she sees me. Shoot. I'm tired of having to feel so awkward around her. I don't want to ruin our friendship by avoiding her all the time. Y/N walks up to me. I freeze. "Hey Logan. What's the matter?" She asks, placing her hand on my shoulder. I hesitate for a second before my mind takes over and begins talking for me. "Ihaveamajorcrushonyou!" I say quickly. I immediately after cup my hand over my mouth and feel my face begin to burn. She opens her mouth like she's about to say something, but then closes it. I look down at the ground.  After a few seconds she finally talks. "Really?" She ask quietly. I slowly nod. "I-I like you too" she says to me, looking at her feet. I look up at her. "Wait seriously? I though I was the only one who felt that way which is why I was so nervous to tell you and..." I'm cut off by her soft lips on mine. I'm caught by surprise. I'm overwhelmed with a mix of emotions. Confusion, excitement and joy all at once. All I can think about is kissing back. The kiss only lasts a second. I pull away and smile at her. "I know that was a bit soon. We aren't even dating yet and I kissed you. I'm really sorry" she says. I hug her. "Hey, it's ok. We can just consider this our first date! Let's go have lunch at that restaurant over there right now!" I say. She nods and smiles as I pull her over. I'm so glad we finally confessed our feelings for each other. I'm finally getting to date my dream girl.
