Everybody always thought that I had eyes for Eliza. In this wacky world that looks like something out of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas they believed I had eyes for a girl. I mean, she was a pretty girl, but I had eyes for someone else, Mr. Sandman. My best friend since we were kids.

He anyways stuck up for me when I was bullied for being chubby and other things. He always figured that I had eyes for her as well. He was so very wrong. He was always a scary looking person, yet a sweet person on the inside.

I wrote in the newspaper for my school as a poet, every poem written was about him. It was me confessing my love to the one man I had care and love of endless amounts for. I poured my heart out, only for people to believe that it was about Eliza. He has always thought so as well, but deep down he knew they were about him.

Despite all the rumors about Eliza and I, we're friends. She even knows I like Pete. In fact, she's the one who hooked us up. She's the only reason why he knew that the poems were about him because she read that Pete wrote poems about me. Mutual love in the form of poems.

Eliza is the only reason that Pete and I are engaged. She's the only reason why we write love letters to each other in the form of poems. You see, Pete and I are together because of Eliza and Our Mutual Love in the form of Poems.

Here's one he wrote to me earlier

Mr. Benzedrine. Your last name is a drug and I'm numb on our love like I'm on Novocaine.
You've given me a reason to stay alive in the form of poems and love.
Mr. Benzedrine. You're my reason to live and not let go.
I'm hanging on, not by a noose, but by our love.
You're the only man I ever think of.
