Ch.1: Wow Just My Luck

Author's Notes:  I'm BL on here. Anyway I hope you enjoy the first chapter!

*Ding dong

"I got it!" I shout.

Wind gushes when I open the door. I shiver. It was cold and very cloudy day. The weatherman said that there wasn't going to be a storm so I was fine.

The sky has seen better days...

I look around for the person who rang the doorbell but there was no one. I then notice that there is something in mail box. I go over to grab the mail. It was a fancy looking letter that had my name written on the front.

Hmmm probably not important...

I stuff the letter in my jacket and go back inside.

"Who was it?" My dad asks

"It was a prankster probably..." I mumble.

"Ok then..." he replies.

"Breakfast is ready!!" Pops says.

"Let's go eat son... we have some things to talk about." Dad says.

"Yeah..." I reply.

It was coming... the bad news I already new. My parents weren't able to put me into an all boys school. I've been terrified of girls since I was little. Every time I would see one I would start shaking uncontrollably. My parents would take me to the doctors to try to find out why I was so scared of girls. Some would say it was due to a trauma I had back then. Others would say that I'm just shy. We never really got an answer. Because of my fear of girls, I was homeschooled for most of my life... but now it was all going to change.

My Pops told Dad that I needed to go to school at least in my highschool years and to try to make new friends. That's why they tried to get me into an all boys' school. Well... tried. Most all boys' schools are private schools and my family isn't the richest. In fact we are really poor. Now they are going to tell me the bad news.

I walk over to the kitchen table and I sit down. Pops and Dad are already there eating.

The awkward silence is broken when Pops speaks up.

"So... you know that you are going to school this year right? And well your father and I tried out best to get you in an all boys' school but..." Pops begins.

"I know... but do I really have to go to school?" I interrupt.

"I'm sorry sweetie but you have to..." Pops says.

I then stuff as much food as I can down my mouth. Pop and Dad eat very quietly.

I needed to get out of there quickly. I couldn't stand the silence of the room anymore. I finish and put my dish in the sink. I was really angry and depressed. I didn't want to hurt my parents with harsh words so I left without saying anything. I head upstairs to my room and plump on my bed. My headphones and phone was on my bedside so I grab it, put on the headphones, and then start playing my favorite song. We at least had enough money to afford a phone for me.

Tears slowly come out of my eyes. I grab my stuff Narwhal named Alex. I then feel the letter that I had gotten this morning in my jacket and wipe my tear. I grab it and rip it open.

Well might as well see what's inside it. It's probably another prank letter but you never know...

To my surprise it was a scholarship acceptance letter. It read as this:

July 9, 2017

Dear Eric White,

This is an acceptance letter to Adrial High School. We will receive you on August 1, 2017 to help you get used to the dorm life. This is a free scholarship from one of our most prominent sponsors. It will pay for you all your high school days. I hope you accept the scholarship.

Oh my goodness! My luck has changed. I'm probably going to get stuck by Blue_Lightning 41 times tomorrow... also who's President Longwolf and who was the sponsor that paid for me to come to this school?

*sigh

Oh well. Let's get pumped.

"Yeah boiiiiiiiiiiiiii! I don't have to go to a school with girls in it!" I yell. "Pooooooppppppps, Daaaaaaadddd! I got something amazing to show you!"

I run down stairs. I see my Dad and Pop taking.

"Pop, Dad look!" I exclaim.

Pop and Dad continue talking.

I stuff the letter in Dad's face.

"Ok, ok I'll look at it." Dad says.

My Dad's eyes widen.

I smile and look towards Pop. Dad hands the letter to Pop. He smiles a big smile.

"Well this changes everything." He states. "Hey honey wasn't this the school that we went to?"

"Yep and it's a good school if I remember correctly. Probably one of the best." He says. "So son are you gonna accept the scholarship?"

"Heck yeah!!" I reply with energy.

"Ok. That settles it. You are going to Adrial High School." Pop says.

"Well it's going to be a while before you do..." Dad says.

"Do you really have to argue with everything I say?" Pop asks sarcastically.

"You know it." Dad says.

Pop smiles.

I leave the letter with Pop. I head back up stairs to my room. I sit on my bed and act all giddy.

"Hey Eric!! You're gonna be late to work if you don't leave now!" Pop yells from down stairs.

Oh yeah... I have work today.

I run out of my room with changes clothes.

"I'm off!" I yell.

Now all I have to do is wait a couple of weeks then I'll be able to go to school. I'm excited now. Maybe I can make friends after all. August come here all ready...
