PRESENT TIME

3rd person

      "Well....... I kinda.... sorta..... like.... E-Everest." Marshall said, then hid himself. Skye smiled. "That's ok, lover boy, cause I kinda.... sorta..... like.... Ch-Chase." Skye mocked. The two giggled. Then Skye whispered, "we can break up if you want...." Marshall shook his head. "Or we can talk with our good friends. I know Everest and Zuma are your best friends, and Chase is mine. I'll talk to Chase." Skye nodded. "I already spoke with Zuma, so I'll handle Everest."

Marshall POV

      "Chase, can I talk to you?" The German Shepard turned around. "Hey, Marshall. What's up? And I need to talk to you. Can I start?" I nodded. "Ok. I like your girlfriend. I'm prepared for my beating." I laughed. "You mean Skye?" Chase nodded. "Now I guess you won't beat me up after saying I like YOUR girlfriend." I said. We laughed and laughed. Chase's smile faded. "This is the problem. I want to tell her, but I don't want to make Everest feel bad." 

Skye POV

      "Everest, can we talk?" I high-pawed my BFF, then she nodded and said, "I was gonna ask if we could talk too. You first." I sighed. "I kinda......... like Chase. Go on, do what you want to me." Everest laughed like she just heard the funniest joke in the world. "It's ok, it's ok. I like Marshall. I want to tell Chase, but what if he still loves me? I wouldn't want him to be sad." Skye sighed. "I gotta go. Corn roast time!" Everest said. I smiled. The corn roast! 

      By the time we got to Farmer Al's, Chase and Marshall were whispering stuff to one another, probably about us. We ate roasted corn (duh) and tomatoes. Ryder revealed that a new inspector wanted us in obidience school for 3 weeks. Rocky, Rubble, and Tracker looked at Ryder like he just said his parents survived the car crash and were castaways on a far away island or Machu Pichu. 

      After we said our goodbyes to Ryder, Jake, the mayor, Alex, Katie, Julia, Julius, and Cali, we got on the bus to the obidience school. We were assigned seats, and I was next to Chase. After getting to know one another better, the ride took forever. I decided to take a nap.

Chase POV

      In the middle of the ride, I noticed Skye asleep on my shoulder. I tried not to blush, Everest was on the seat accross from us with Marshall. Then I noticed they were accually having fun together, so I let them be. I heard someone snicker. I looked up to see Rocky and Zuma peering over the seat behind us. Rubble and Tracker, diagonal from us, could clearly see what was happening, and laughed as well. I knew that the guys would be teasing me all day tomorrow and all night today about this. Everest and Marshall would probably be doing something in their fairytale land. But, I need to tell her about Skye. She clearly likes Marshall, I can see it in her eyes. As soon as we got off the bus, I walked over. "Marshall, can you excuse me and Everest for a minute?" Marshall nodded. Everest gave Marshall a hug, then trotted over. "Evie, we can tell each other anything and not have the other get mad, right?" Everest nodded. I began to sweat at the thought of Everest saying she still liked me or Skye still liking Marshall. I frowned. "I..... uhm.............. like Skye."
