Chapter 9
After sitting around all day long doing nothing, it was finally 6:00. Which meant it was time for me to get ready for my da- er, time out, with Niall. I changed my outfit choice, instead I decided on wearing a nice green and white floral print top, dark wash skinny jeans, and some silver flats to finish it off. I made my way to my bathroom to do my makeup. Since we were only going to be in a resturant, I decided to go with a more natural makeup look. It's not like anyone was gonna see me much anyways. I took my hair out of the ponytail that my hair was in all day; it came out in nice waves, so I didn't do anything to it.
I made my way out of the house and my mother stopped me. "Where are you going?" she asked.
"I'm just going to hangout with a friend, were going to Nando's. I'll be back in a few hours." I assured her.
"Oh, who are you hanging out with? Is it a boy!?" My mom started squealing.
I started to blush. "Yeah, I'm hanging out with the boy I crashed into in the airport. NIall." I began explaining.
My mom smiled at me. It looked like she had a tear sprouting in her eye. I never really went on tons of outings with guys. So, I guess she was just really happy for me. "Well, I don't want you to be late! Go, go, go!" She started squealing again. "Tell me how it goes when you get home!"
Smiling ear to ear, I proceeded to the door. As I got to my car and sat down in the drivers seat, I got a text from Niall. I felt butterflies rush to my stomach and I opened the text:
Hey Alaina! I can't wait to see you tonight! ;) xxNiall
I was in complete disbelief with what I was reading. Niall Horan, excited to see me!? Whoa. This was totally crazy. I decided not to reply, so I just pulled out of the driveway and made my way to Nando's.
After a nice 20 minute drive, I pulled into the restaurant parking lot. I could see a few paparazzi so I figured Niall was here already. I opened the door and the same waitress I had last time I was here greeted me. "Hello! Welcome to Nando's! Are you Alaina?"
I peered at her nametag, her name was Mary. "Yeah! I'm Alaina!" I replied cheerfully.
"Excellent, your table is waiting for you in the back!" she replied while leading me to the back of the restaurant.
I approached the back of the resturant to see NIall sitting at a booth waiting for me. As he saw me his eyes lit up and he stood up out of the booth coming towards me to greet me. I looked over my shoulder and noticed that Mary had already left, and when I turned my head back Niall was standing infront of me. "Hey" he sounded relieved.
I smiled at him and he pointed me towards the table we were sitting at. I walked to the table and sat down and he sat across from me. "I thought you weren't going to show up." he explained shyly. "I haven't had the best luck on dates."
"Date?" I smirked.
"Er, um, yeah." he choked. "Well, I mean if you want it to be."
I shot him a smile. "Of course I want it to" I assured him. "Honestly, I've been debating whether or not this was a date or not."
He laughed softly. "I know I barely know you, but I rea-"
"Hello! What can I get for you?" Mary asked in a very upbeat tone.
"Can I get the famous Peri-Peri chicken?" I asked sweetly.
"Sure!" She exclaimed. "How about you sir?"
"I'll get the same thing, but can I get two? One just doesn't seem to fill me up" Niall explained.
"Sure, I'll be out with your orders in a bit" Mary explained as she walked away.
