"Hey Lyric my yellow friend" Tyree said running to my side and bumping my shoulder
"Hey Tyree my annoying friend" I laughed looking at him
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing?"
"You lying you've been down since stinky amber tried to get with me" he said
"How you gonna tell me I'm lying?" I laughed
"Cause I can see it in your eyes and those never lie" he said like he some type of guru
"I'm not lying though"
"Is it about your little boyfriend Lynden?"
"No" I said a little to fast
"Okay now you just gave yourself away, what happened" he said
"Nothing" I said
"Come on you can tell me"
"Okay, well me and Lynden stopped talking" I said
"What? Why?" He asked
"I feel like he can't commit without messing up what we had before we started talking so now we're here. And I'm fine with it, I may be a little sad but I actually appreciate what he did." I said
"Damn"
"I know right"
"I'm low key happy he broke it off though" Tyree said
"Why would you say that?"
"Because I still like you, you and Lynden talking wasn't gonna change that. I wanna be with you and ima try to do what I can so you can be mine"
Wow I thought, I didn't say anything just walked in silence.
"Can you say something"
"I have nothing to say" I said
"Yeah you do say what's on your mind"
"You don't want to know what's on my mind" I said
"Yes I do" he said "why are you acting like that?"
"Acting like what?"
"Like you're too good for me. I actually like you and you won't give me the time of day and its real deal annoying"
"Okay well first of all why would you tell me something like that after I told you that I just stopped talking to a nigga that I really liked. That's stupid fam. You could have at least waited a couple of days to tell me. You making it seem like you okay with being a second choice" I said
"Second choice? Nah never that" he shook his head "why would you say that lyric? I actually like you second place had nothing to do with that"
