You waited outside of the company building at the designated time that he wanted you there.

*Ding*

There was a message from Jimin.

Chim: I wish you were still coming! Mom says she misses you!

You: Tell her I miss her too! I'll see her some other time. This asshole just forced me into going with him on this business trip😥

Chim: Have fun! Hey, you might get some 😏😏

You: GOODBYE JIMIN! 😂

As you put your phone away, Mr. Jeon had walked through the doors with his bags.

“Shall we get going?” he asked.

“After you, sir” you said giving a false smile.

He chuckled because he knew that you were faking. All of his employees act that way with him, so it was nothing new.

But you were interesting to him.

You both arrived at the 5 star hotel.

“Wow! This place is fancy” you said, not meaning to say it out loud of course.

Mr. Jeon just laughed a bit at your outburst.

“I only stay at the best places” he said.

You both headed inside to check in. He had reserved two rooms.

You felt relieved. Your boss wouldn't go as far as sharing a room with his own assistant, right?

Anyway, you were interrupted from your trance as Mr. Jeon tapped your shoulder.

“Come on” he said.

You both headed to the elevators. Once inside, you had the feeling that he was staring at you. You didn't want to turn around and test your theory, but your curiosity got the best of you and you did it anyway.

“One, two, three!” you counted in your head.

You turned around and you were right! He was looking at you. He smirked at you as well and that made you turn around in a hot second.

Why was he looking at me, you thought.

Y'all finally made it up to the floor where the rooms were located.

Room 415 was yours and his was room 416, right across from yours.

“There is a dinner tonight at 8, so I will come to get you at 7, so be ready by then” he stated then he walked into his room.

“Great, can't wait” you say sarcastically.

The clock read 6:30. You finally decided on what to wear.

Once you were ready, it was already 7 pm.

You heard a knock on the door.

“Right on time” you say out loud.

You opened the door and there you saw your boss dressed nicely for the dinner.

Damn! He cleans up nice, you thought.

“You look nice, Y/N” he complimented you.

He actually called you by your name for once.

“Um, thank you sir. You do, too” you complimented him back.

“Okay, let's head out to dinner. ”

He had put his arm out for you to grab. He wanted to link arms with you as you both walked to the elevator. You two got downstairs and walked to a black limo. He opened the door for your like a complete gentleman.

“After you, miss” he said holding the door for you to get inside.

You stepped in and he came in shortly after.

The ride to the banquet hall was very quiet. You saw Mr. Jeon steal some glances of you too.

You felt nervous because you've never been to a company dinner. There will be people there that you didn't know and they were probably rich. And you didn't like being around rich people like that. It made you feel like you were not on their level.

You felt a hand on yours. It was Mr. Jeon's hand.

“Everything will be fine, don't worry” he said with a smile.

Maybe I should give him a chance, you thought.

The banquet hall was beautiful. There were tables with white tablecloths decorated on them, a shiny chandelier hanging from the ceiling, and people dresses very elegantly.

It made you wonder about your own outfit.

And as if on cue, Mr. Jeon leaned down to your ear and he whispered something reassuring into your ear.

“You look great, Y/N” he said.

You released a breath that you didn't know you were holding.

A man came and walked up to you both.

“Jungkook! What a pleasant surprise! You finally came to the party!” he says.

“Hello Taehyung. It's a nice party you have here” Mr. Jeon replies.

“Yes, thank you. I wanted to ease some of the tensions between some companies, so holding a dinner seemed appropriate ” the man says with a big, box-like smile. He then turned to look at you.

“Oh no!” you screamed internally.

“And who's this lucky lady. I haven't seen you bring a plus one in a long time, Kook” the other man says.

“She's my girlfriend” Mr.Jeon says nonchalantly.

“I'm his what!!!!” you yelled again internally.

“What is your name, miss?” the man named Taehyung asked.

“Y/N, sir” you say shyly.

“Aw, no need to be shy. It's nice to meet you” he said shaking your hand.

“Taehyung-ah!” another female's voice called

“That's my cue to leave! I'll see you two later tonight” Taehyung said and then he left.

“He's been my my best friend since high school, he is something else I swear” Mr. Jeon says with a little laugh.

He has a nice laugh.

“Let's have a seat” he says and then you both headed to sit near his friend.

This is going to be a long night.
