Chapter 1: Nicole's POV
As I walk down the street, I keep pulling the bottom of my shirt out. God, why am I so fat? Why
couldn't I be born with a skinny, fast metabolism body, that never gains weight. I wander my eyes
around the middle of downtown. My eyes set on a small, old café. I speed walk there, continuing to
pick at my shirt to pull it from my stomach. Once I reach there, I pull my hair behind my ear, and
look at my surroundings. I finally set on the cashier, who seems intimidated under my gaze.
What? No ones ever payed attention to me, let alone looked intimidated. They always thought I
was annoying, fat, and such. I held his stare and walked up to the cash register.
"Didn't your mother ever tell you it was rude to stare?" I asked.
"I could say the same thing to you." He said, a deep voice, extremely intimidating compared to mine.
"Touché,", I smirked. I looked at the menu above his head. "A skim cappuccino, tall please."
"Coming up. That'll be 2.99. Cash or credit?"
I pretended to be confused, tapped my temple and said, "Cash." I dug out a five dollar bill from my
small purse. Handed it to him and waited for the receipt.
"Here you go," he said hinting for my name.
"Nicole. And don't say that line, 'pretty name for a pretty girl, or I'll scream at you."
He put his hands up in surrender, "Alright Nicole."
I smiled, walked to my table, an sat down with my journal. Peace, at last. I snuggled into the couch,
and started my writing with the occasional sip of my coffee.

Her. (A Harry Styles AU Fanfiction)
FanfictionIt was her. I'm positive. It wasn't just the way she looked. It's the way she uniquely dresses. The way she flickered her small, hazel little eyes everywhere to take in the scenery. She'd never have it all with me, but she'd have enough.
