Story of a lifetime

chapter one

My alarm clock tings a sound which I can never figure the noise.
I stretch and hit my hands on my wall which is bare and plain.
"Leah are you awake" Mum shouted
"Yes mum I'm coming down for some breakfast" I replied
I put a dressing gown over my pjs because I just hate walking downstairs or anywhere for thay matter without something over my skin.
I turn to look at my phone for the time
"Darling,  I know Ben was stupid to let you go after all these years. But you need this advice in your brain, he's never coming back and if he tries to then immediately he's back out that don't after he's treated you the way he did.  It's mean and selfish to treat somebody else the way he did" I hear my dad say
"I was only looking at the time dad. Don't worry about me please. When I get this day over with then that will be fine.  New start new beginning. " I reply
7:12 am my phone showed up
"There's a letter in the main room for you Leah. We didn't dare open it because it may be very dearly important" Mum said
I stated at the letter for a while.
"What is it?" Mum asked me
"The school I am going to is hosting a welcome party tonight from 8:30 pm until midnight at the school" I stated
"Are you going to go?" Dad questioned
"Probably not no because I don't know anybody and I don't want to be the awkward teen girl sat by herself at the back of the room while everybody is having fun dancing and with boys in front of me"
"Leah"
"What dad. You expect me to get over a guy I dated for over 5 years over 1 day. That says a lot"
I stormed up to my bedroom and plonked my body on the bed
*knock knock*
The door opened
"Go away" I said
"Leah it's only me baby kins.  Mummy's here to help. I know Ben was a big part of your life Leah but he has hurt you and that's not accepted in the household ok. We worry about you because it's what parents do for their children that they want to protect from the world around them. Your dad and I would like it if you would go to the party thing tonight, I'll take you and just forget about Ben and life and have a good time. I'll pick you up when you've have enough all you'll need to do it give me a text and we'll be there straight away.  Promise" Mum said calm
I just started to stare
"No need doing that Leah. Here, let's pick a dress that you like for a hour to wear tonight" Mum said
"Mum, I'll choose my own dress which I like to wear. You don't need to waste your time"
"Well if you insist dear"
"Of course other wise I wouldn't have said it mother"
She kissed me on my forehead
"Thank god she's left I muttered
I stood up by this point and started looking at my dresses
I layed a nice pink laced dress and some matching shoes
*knock knock*
"Come in" I said
"Hey Leah, I know it was too much to deal with earlier but I hope you understand I said it for the right purpose" Dad said
"Yes I do understand as you just want what's best for me" I replied
"is this what you're wearing tonight?" Dad asked
I smiled
"Come up here Wendy" Dad shouted
I laughed to myself quietly
Mum came in my room
"Omg Leah that is super cute" Mum stated
"That is our amazing intelligent young girl" Dad said
I giggled
"Right,  I'll go wash the car and your mum can hover it. Proud of you Leah" Dad said shutting the door behind them
