*kiera's POV*
I was sat on my sofa waiting, waiting for nothing. My sister Leona and my brother ryan, would abuse me constantly, ever since our parents keeled over. They have abused me! I have all scratches and scars.

I was watching TV when leona, ran in and grabbed me by there hair and pulled me out to the chair. She held me down and slapped me for wriggling and kicking and screaming
"Sit still you useless bitch!" She shouted in my face
Ryan walked over to us with a branding iron, he was still heating it he held it tightly and he grabbed his knife as I was screaming and kicking he held it to my neck and slit it slightly
"Shut your Scottish mouth, no one's gonna hear you so stop trying!" He also shouted in my face.
*Zach's POV*
We were on a walk in the woods, when we heard screaming,shouting, cursing and crying we all ran towards the noise and cobryn ran ahead.
He stood at the top of the hill followed by the four of us he ran down the hill
"STOP THAT" he shouted as he shouted that the man with the branding iron stabbed it into the girls hipside. She squealed in pain. And the girl by her side slapped her so hard that she passed out and dropped to the floor. Cobryn ran over and picked her up.
"Call logan and tell him to bring a car!"
Jack called Logan.
"Hey bro wassup?"
"Could ya bring a car to our house?"
"Yea sure, what ya need it for?"
"We'll explain later"
"Ok"
"Just bring it asap it's urgent" he ends the call and cobryn carries her back to the house she just lead the silent, lifeless and death looking on the sofa. Cobryn was checking what had happened exactly but he saw nothing he then saw a hole in her top. Not a small rip of a hole a massive burn, he covered his mouth.
"G-guys look what those two did to her?" We all look and we gasp.
*Cobryn's POV*
I saw what they did to her, I held her neck tightly but gently. She started coughing, which was a good sign I guess it meant she was alive. She wasn't fully awake. When Logan got here we ran her out to his car and puts her in I sat with her in the back and Logan drive to the hospital.
"Thanks Logan! We owe ya"
"No problem call me if ya need a lift home!"
"Will do!"
We take her inside and she gets taken to the ward.
*Half an hour later*
The doctor walks out and says she's just waking up. And that we could go in, just be careful and quiet. We walk In and we all crowd around her bed her eyes start to slightly open. She sees us and questions
"Are they out there" she begins to cry
"No, there not. Would you like to stay with us?"
"Yy-yea ii-is thaat oo-ok?" She stutters
"No it's fine we'll sort ya out a room!"
She looked down at herself they had cut her top half way up her body. She saw the burn and attempted to touch it but I grab her hand and pull it away, she looks up at me and I shake my head and smile. She smiles back at me
"What if they come back" Jonah whispers to Daniel.
"Then we'll be here to protect her boys!" I reply.
She begins to shake I tighten my grip a little I'm her hand, the doctor walks back in and says she's free to go home. He'd clothes were covered in blood so I gave her my jacket and she put it on and it was all the way down to her knees we walked out and she asked to walk home she gripped my hands and tried to walk but she was shaking so I picked her up and she wrapped her legs around my waist and her arms around my neck, she jolted backwards at first when her hip touched my side but then she fell asleep on my shoulder we got back and I gently lead her in the sofa. She was sound asleep.
I sat down next to her the boys went out in the garden and Logan came round he sat with me.
"You like her, don't ya bro?"
"Kinda!"
*Kiera's POV*
I woke up and hears what they were talking about I started to laugh I looked at him and we interlinked our eyes.
"What's your name? I'm Kiera!" I asked whilst smiling
"I'm cobryn" he smiles
I sit up and squeal a little. I look down and see the burn.
"What happened?" I asked "and how am I here?"
"We were on a walk. We saw you and then two people and we helped you and brought ya back to our house, who were this two anyway. You know them??"
"Yea" I look down "they were my brother and sister!"
"Oh" he replies, he gets up and hugs me carefully.
The others walked in and sat on the floor.
"Hi? I'm Jonah! That's jack. That's Daniel and that's Zach! You probably already know cobryn." He smiles
"Yea, I'm kiera!" I smile back then we turn on the TV I move my leg and I take the jacket off so I'm in my shorts and top, well half top. Cobryn looked at my leg and saw the knife mark. It was quite deep! So it stuck out easily. It was an old scar but. It still looked fresh. "What's that?" Cobryn asked
"Uhhh" I started to shake again.
"Ok, tell us when your ready ki! No need to rush" I started to calm down
"Nice nickname ya got for her" Zach said whilst laughing.
