Chapter Four: The Party

Kawaii~Chan's P.O.V:

Zane and I were walking back to the house, already late for the party. I could that he was almost as nervous as I was... almost.

We reach the house and I freeze in my steps. I can't do this. It's too late.

They'll never love you, even him

"Nana?" Zane says quietly. He steps closer to me, placing his pale hand on my shoulder. "Hey, it'll be ok..."

"I-I can't do this Zane. They wont l-like me. I-I'm ugly." I say slowly scooting back. Zane grabs my hand before I break into a sprint.

"They won't think that Nana. You are absolutely breathe taking. I promise if thongs start to go south we can leave or just go hide in my room." Zane says with a slight laugh.

I smile and nod.

The moment we enter I notice people are starting to stare. One, because we were holding hands. And two, we looked completely different.

All of a sudden, Garrote and Aphmau approach us. "My Zuzu looks so handsome!" Aphmau shrieks, pinching Zane's cheeks causing me to let out a giggle.

"Kawaii~Chan is that you?" Aphmau said looking at my hair.

"U-uh yes Aphmau~Senpai, it is Kawaii~Chan..." I say nervously. Zane looks at me confused. I can tell he though I was going to stop talking like this but I just couldn't.

"Well it's different but it looks really cute on you Kawaii~Chan!" Aphmau says giving me a hug.

Zane gives me a smile. Everything is going to be fine. I was wrong.

Garrote gives me a weird look. "Kawaii~Chan, no offense but you look kind of weird. It just doesn't suit you." Garrote says in his thick accent.

"Garroth! What the heck is wrong with you!" Zane yells pushing Garrote back. Everyone's eyes widened out of shock.

Next thing I know everyone was coming over to us. "Hey Kawaii~Chan what's up with... uh... that?" Katelyn  says pointing at me hair.

I knew it. I knew it. I knew.

They'll never accept you

 Zane's worried eyes meet mine. They clear blue pierce through me. "I was right..." I mouth to him and storm off. Not looking back.

I hate this island. I hate my stupid hair. I hate my stupid name. I hate everything.

Stop the pain, you know what to do

This voice. It rings in my head. It'll never leave because it was right.

I run as far as I can until I trip over an empty bottle, sending my flying. I shattered the bottle.

I stare deep at the shards of glass. I grip a hand full in each hand and squeeze. "AHHH!" I yell out in pain. Tears streaming faster down my face.

Again

I squeeze my hands sending another wave of pain down my hands. "AHHHHHHH!" I screech. Red liquid oozes all over my hands.

I just want all the pain to go away.... now.

Then do it

Zane's P.O.V:

Nana sprints out, the last thing I see her do is mouth "I was right".  I can't let this happen. I promised her everything would be ok.

Everyone stares at me confused. "YOU ALL ARE A BUNCH OF SELF ABSORBED IDIOTS!" I yell before chasing after Nana.

I run in the direction she went, along the beach shore. Where on earth did she go?

Suddenly, I see a small figure hunched over... lifeless. "NANA!" I screech, sprinting as fast as I can to her.

Her hands hand a bunch of fragment of glass injected into her palms and fingertips. Red blood oozed over her hands and arms.

I then notice a large cut on her abdomen oozing blood extremely fast. "NO! NANA! LOOK AT ME! EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE!" I yell picking her up.

"I-I a-m so s-sorry Z-zane..."Nana says before her eyes flutter close.

No. No, this can't be happening. Why her. Full of laughter and sunshine. Why did it have to be her.

"SOMEBODY! ANYBODY! HELP!"I scream while running towards the nearest doctor on the island. I will not let it end like this.

"Please... stay with me... I'm so sorry Nana... please.." 

----A week later----

Everyone's  heading home from the island. Nana went home with Katelyn a few days earlier.

Ever since that night, Nana went back to acting like Kawaii~Chan, even when it was just her and I.  She speaks so... normal, like none of this ever happened. Like we never happened.

I arrive home and instantly notice a voicemail from Aph. "Hey we are having a party for Kawaii~Chan for her recovery, so hurry up and get ready!" She says, then a beep.

Why is Nana doing this to herself. After all we've done and been through. She treats it like I was nothing to her.

She was all I had.
