Hayes's POV

I was pacing the halls trying to figure out what I was going to say when she got here.

"Hey Ken, this is my house." No, that sounds stupid.

"Hi, welcome. Come in!" No, that sounds pushy.

"Hey McKenna! Wanna come in?" That's even stupider! Ugh, this is so difficult.

The doorbell rang quarter to six. I took deep breaths and opened the door. It wasn't Kenna, but the pizza man. I exhaled and paid him. I took the pizza and put it out along with napkins and solo cups with cherry sparkling water. I don't know why, but I have an obsession with cherry sparking water.

About ten minutes later, the bell rang again. Just let it flow, I thought. "Hey McKenna, Kenzie, why don't you come in?" I smiled. Perfect. McKenna giggled and walked in. Gawh she's beautiful. Kenzie smiled at me.

I decided to give McKenna and Kenzie a tour, but I was going to mess with my brother first. He was just wearing boxers as far as I remember. I smirked, this will be funny. "Hey Kenzie, come upstairs with me please." I asked. She nodded and followed me. "This is my brothers room." I said, opening the door. Yup he still was.

Kenzie giggled and Nash screamed very girly. I laughed really loud and Nash glared at me while he put on khakis. I couldn't stop laughing and soon Kenzie joined me too. "Hahaha very funny." Nash said. That made me laugh even harder. "Hi, I'm Kenzie." She said, shyly. "I'm Nash." He smiled. I walked back downstairs to let them have their moment.

I sat on the couch next to McKenna. She was staring at her twitter feed. "Can I ask you something?" She said out of nowhere. I nodded. "Why didn't you tell me you're practically famous?" She asked calmly. Whoa, that was a random question. "I didn't think I needed to." I responded, quietly. She nodded once and went back at staring and her phone. She laughed and got up. "Wait what just happened?" I asked confused.

"I used to follow your brother on Vine along time ago. I didn't know he had a brother at the time. I found out this afternoon. Hayes, that's something really important to tell me. If we ever got together, or went out anywhere for that matter, what will the fans do? I would've gotten bombarded without knowing why." She responded. She laughed again.

"Hayes, I really like you and all but I'm not sure what the fans will do if you announced it publicly. Heck, I don't even know what would happen if a fan in the neighborhood would do if they found out. Maybe hunt me down and shoot me? I've learned through experience that you can't trust nobody. No matter how much you think you know about them." She said quieter.

"Wait back up. You like me?" I asked astonished. "Hayes that's not my point, " she sighed, "but a little yeah. We just met legit today though. I'm just worried about what would happen if we did get together and go public. I have my whole life ahead of me and I don't want to be killed by a crazed and jealous fan." I had to admit, she made sense. "I get you. Sorry I didn't tell you." "It's fine. I just needed to make sure there wasn't some specific reason because you can trust me with anything. I don't know about anyone else."

"Oh and by the way, what happened with Hannah?" I asked curiously. She stopped breathing for a second and then sat back down on the couch. "Wow you're in for a story." She said simply. I sat down on the opposite side of the sofa and let her begin.

"Hannah and I were best friends when she was on the Outlaws. We would shop together, have sleepovers, etc. I found out she was moving the day before she left. When I went back to school, I was ignored, bullied, " she paused for a second. She pulled her rubber bracelets off her hands. There were scars. Some were deeper than others, and a few were fresher than others.

I watched as a tear dropped from her eye. "I still do. They haven't stopped yet." I stood up, took her hand and lifted her up and hugged her. She held me tightly like she was afraid to loose me. I kept her head in the groove of my neck and whispered soft things in her ear. No one deserves this.

She let go of me and sat back down. I did too. "I didn't have any friends for a while. The only person who was there for me was Kenzie. I owe her the world for that. She never let go when I needed her most. She recently convinced me to stop cutting and continue living. They aren't worth my tears she had said repeatedly." She started crying, I let her. She had been holding it back, I could tell.

When she calmed down a bit, she continued. "I finally believed her a few weeks ago. I learned to defend myself. Bullies succeed when you go along with it. Hannah came back about a month later. Said she didn't like it in Cali. I didn't care. But one thing I did do is I took Hannah by surprise when I punched her and a few of her posse. I got detention, but it was worth it," She grinned. Her smile was genuinely beautiful. I can't believe these girls would do this.

"I learned about 3 months ago why I was bullied and ignored. Hannah had spread rumors about me right before she left. She had said 'I slept with the whole football team', 'I cheated on my boyfriend with someone from NC', stuff like that. Well, I stuck my middle finger so high and I said F that. Besides, I'm only thirteen. Who would sleep with someone when your thirteen?" She smiled. She looked at me and I looked back at her "Hannah." We both said in unison. She laughed her gorgeous and real laugh.

"Thank you. I know it's hard to put up with that a such a young age. But it takes a woman to admit it to someone you barely know." I smiled. She laughed and kissed my cheek. "Thank you for listening." She said, shyly. "I will always listen to you, even if I have to record it." I grinned. She blushed and turned away. I lifted her chin and turned it to me. "You're cute when you blush." I smiled, again. She blushed even harder.

My amazing friend. I only wish you could see how much you mean to me.
