The Skate Park

Hi I'm Hannah. I guess I should tell you about myself huh? Well I'm 17 years old and I just moved to California. I used to live in New Jersey but my mother got a job and they needed her to move here I guess. I have long, light brown wavy hair and green eyes. Thats basically me. I also love skateboarding. Just before my father died, he gave me a skateboard and ever since I was 7 I have been skateboarding. They never really had skate parks back in New Jersey but my mother told me that there was one right near here.

"Mom! I'm going to that skate park you told me about! Ill be back in a little bit!" I screamed to her and closed my front door.

I skated away on my board and to my surprise the skate park was only a 5 minutes away.

When I opened the door everyone looked at me. It looked like I was the only girl there.

Everyone was giving me nasty glares and they didn't even know me! Well lets see how they look at me when I finish skating.

I pushed off the ramp and started to grind on the rale. Then I skated off the stairs that they had and it was about a 5 foot drop. Not that high to jump off of. Finally I did some tricks and the ramps and decided that that was it and go home.

When I walked through to get to the doors to leave a lot of people looked surprised but some people were giving me more nasty glares.

"Hey! You! The girl in the blue and white flannel!" some boy said. He was cute, he was wearing a blue snapback and had a great flannel with blue jeans and he had dirty blond hair an was at least 5 inches taller than me.

"Um yes?" I said in a quite voice. I wasn't ever really a big social person. Even in my old school I only had 2 friends.

"Are you new? I've never seen you before and your sick out there on the ramps!" this mysterious boy said to me.

"Uh ya. I just moved here and thanks"

"What's your name?" he asked me.

"Hannah"

"Nice to meet you Hannah, I'm Cole" he said and put out his hand for me to shake and I accepted.

"Well um I got to go..ill see you around I guess" I said and I'm pretty sure that I won't talk to him again. He probably thinks I'm some weirdo.

"Sure, uh maybe I could get your number?" wait?! What?! So he wants to be my friend?

"Um sure. Its 908-***-****"

"Okay cool! Ill text you sometime? Maybe we could skate together?"

"That sounds fun"

"Okay cool. Well bye Hannah" he said and waved to me.

"Bye Cole" I said and skated out.

I think I just made a friend?
