☆Li’s PoV☆I blinked in the rapidly appearing light. Next thing I knew I was falling forward, I stumbled a step regaining my balance before looking around as the world came into focus. It took me an instant to recognise where I was. The Altean Castle of Lions. All seemed quiet. I took a tentative step forward and realized I was wearing a dress. I looked down at the white dress I was wearing with the red embroidery on it.
I was snapped from my state of shock as footsteps echoed down a hall to my right. I reached on top of my head and was relieved to feel the cool metal of the heavy decorative chain. I pulled the loop off my head and held one end, watching it as it fell into a length just longer than my forearm.
I crept along the wall toward the sound of footsteps. I flattened myself against the wall and silenced my breathing as the footsteps grew nearer and nearer. As they were about to pass by the corner that I was flattened against I stepped out and swung the short chain toward their legs. It didn't cause them to fall, but they took several steps back.
Then my opponent armed themselves with a knife and I quickly took a half step back. In an instant the knife was slicing its way toward me. I pulled chain taut between my hands and slid back a fraction of an inch as the force of the blow hit my limbs. I twisted the chain so it was locked around the blade and I pulled sharply so it was spun from my black haired opponents hands.
Then moving quickly, I wrapped the chain around their wrists and yanked them back.
“who are you?” I hissed from my vantage point behind them “where is-” I was interrupted then by the sound of additional footsteps and shouts
“Keith!” I heard a woman shout “who are you?” she asked me. I looked up and was greeted with a familiar face
“Princess” I breathed a sigh of relief
“Li! What are you doing here-” her eyes then traveled to Keith, who was still at my mercy “you can let him go, he is an ally” she told me. I hesitated for a moment, then released my grip on one end of the chain so he could pull himself free, which he did so very quickly.
“How do you two know each other?” Keith asked, retrieving his knife, sounding annoyed.
“Li was a good friend and ally during the war. She also piloted the sixth ship” Allura explained, before hesitating a moment and pulling me into a hug, that I gratefully returned. “come” she motioned for Keith and I to follow her. We arrived at the bridge of the castle where I saw Coran
“Coran!” I shouted, and the ginger man turned to see me and smiled
“Li! You're alive! How is that even possible!” he asked running over
“I agree, what happened? I thought you were undercover at the galra arms deal” Allura asked joining our conversation, Keith nearby.
“I was, that's why I'm still in this ridiculous dress” I looked down at it and frowned “I was about to make my move when your father, King Alfor requested my immediate return to the castle. Thinking that he or you could be in danger I left. But when I got to the castle he found me and brought me to one of the hidden cryotubes off the hall and told me to protect you and that he was sorry and then I slept” I ended my story and looked up at the two alteans
“well, I'm afraid we've been asleep for 10,000 years” Allura informed me “and during that time Altea and my father were destroyed and the Galra have continued to spread” I stood in shock at the news.
“10,000 years…”
“yes. But on the bright side we are working on re assembling Voltron” Allura explained “The other four paladins are retrieving the yellow and green lions, the blue one is already with us”
