I hath walked into the dank streets of Brixton,
did gaze at the enchant'd golden bright lights,
Oh how dull was the city of Princeton,
the sun hast cometh out aft'r countless nights,
Did look at the night sky and alloweth out a sigheth,
Eag'rly did seek to knoweth wherefore i hath felt drowned,
With a smileth, a dropeth of teen in mine own eye,
For the sky is quite the same as the ground,
Folks travelling from place to place,
Honorable gentlemen and french-looking dames,
entering the market place with full of grace,
something with name
I hath heard the chatt'rs from ev'ry c'rn'r,
peculiar men engag'd in strange greetings,
deep in mine own heart, i'm a hath lost f'reign'r,
f'r home is wh're mine own heart is beating
Oh how dull wast the city of princeton,
but i ad're moon's gleam, ov'r the sun
As I walked into the vibrant streets of the enormous city,
I gazed at the neon lights that were repeatedly blinking,
The walls concealed with messy so-called graffiti,
hypnotizing my eyes as I felt myself sinking,
As I felt the soft velvet skirt of a women passing by,
Eminently luxurious yet no comfort found,
I looked up at the night sky and let out a deep sigh,
I eagerly sought to know why I felt so drowned,
for the sky is the same as well as the ground,
As I listened closely to the chatters from every corner,
Brand new faces appearing but never repeating,
deep down in my mournful heart, I know i'm a lost foreigner,
for home is where my heart is beating.
