Then their eyes met. At that moment time had frozen and the world was revolving around them. Her heart was pounding against her chest as he was piercing her with his icy glare. He was a different person from what he had been like before-warm and comforting. His eyes displayed emptiness and his lips were formed in a thin line. She stood there numb, wanting to speak but the words were failing to choke out of her. For once in her life she was unable to express her feelings to the one she had loved.
Time continued to slow down as he glided past her brushing his shoulder against hers as she felt her feet planted onto the concrete ground. Her eyes had begun to start brimming with salty tears.
She stood lost in a world ,overwhelmed, as the thick clouds whirled around her in a race to consume her every thought and feeling as she questioned "Why have we become like this?"
