The drive to Walsenburg isn't too long, but it feels like it is. I'm anxious to get there and see Robbie. I sing along to the radio, trying to make the time go by faster.
As I arrive at the address Robbie gave me, I get out, and examine the place. From the outside it looks like normal house so I go up and ring the doorbell.
A women opens the door a few minutes later, raising an eyebrow at me.
"Hello?" She asks, questioningly.
"I'm looking for Robbie. I mean Robert." I say uncertainly. She looks me over, before opening the door a little wider to let me in. A little bit of light enters the building and I swear I hear sizzling.
"He's in the stake room, follow me." She says, quickly shutting the door. They have a room just for steaks?! What type of place is this?
She rushes off down a hallway, turning into different ones and I follow behind obediently, my heart racing.
It's so dark inside this building that I lower my hood and take off my sunglasses, not burning.
She opens a door and motions me in, closing it behind me. I'm trapped in a dark room, until lights, not bright at all, come on casting a glow over the room and I see Robbie, fighting a guy, both holding wooden stakes. Oh... that type of stake...
"Robbie?!" I call out. He turns towards me, the other guy turning too to see who dared interrupt him. Robbie rushes to me and wraps me in his arms and I feel at ease.
"Prissy." He says in a sigh of content.
"That's me." I say, smiling cheekily at him as we pull away.
"Welcome to The Flower Night, where this enchanted flower keeps us protected in our home of eternal night." Robbie says, pointing to a huge flower that doesn't even look possible. Robbie is giving me a tour of his home. I have learned that this building is like Hermione's bag, way bigger on the inside than the outside. There are endless rooms, it doesn't even seem possible.
"This is insane, Robbie. Why am I even here?" I ask, the question I've been to afraid to ask since I got here. There was a reason I had to drive down here and it wasn't just to see him or tour this Place of Magical Dreams.
"Come with me." He says, before leading me off down more hallways and secret passageways. Where are we? Hogwarts?
He leads me down hallway after hallway, until he stops in front of a door that's a bright red. Well that's weird... All the other doors are black or beige, depending on the hallway.
"Where are we?" I murmur, looking at the door uncertainly.
"Julie, can we come in?" He knocks on the door, before slowly opening it.
"Who's we?" A lady asks, turning to face us. She smiles at me, when she sees me. "Priscilla Rose."
"Um..." I look between her and Robbie confused.
"Julie is an aswang. She does just about everything around here." Robbie explains. I still look confused. "Julie can answer all of your questions, I'm due in the courtyard in five minutes. Gotta run."
He disappears out the door and I am alone... With a stranger... In a foreign place...
"So you're probably scared and confused, am I right?" She asks. I nod.
"Wh-" She cuts me off.
"Is your skin burning outside?" I nod again.
"Wha-" Again...
