my sister carlee had just passed away from cancer well she wasn't my blood sister my best friend to be exact it had been four weeks since she passed but it seemed like just yesterday this is just too much on top of that I just found out that she knew she was dieng and that she wanted me to take custody of her one year old baby girl Paris "she said if yonsai want take her I don't know what I would do shes the only person I trust" I replayed the doctor saying this to me to weeks ago the night she died although I was 15 I was very mature and more than capable of making the right decision and I was not about to let my best friend down "yonsai" my mom shook me taking me away from my thoughts I was in my room starring out the window watching the sunset I have not been out in weeks "yes mom?" I said dryly "your dad is downstairs he wants to talk to you about your decision" she said " mom its final im takin paris that is my final decision" I said sternly " I know baby but you just got so much ahead of you you graduate early next year and you just started that internship at that magazine your juist doing so good in life he just doesn't want you to mess up" she said rubbing my back I sighed "I know" ...."lets go talk" she said pulling me to my feet I follow her down our circle steps my parents are separated but when it involves me they are a team..i approach my dad sitting on our couch "hey dad" he embraced me it was one of those hugs you get from someone when you about to make the biggest decision of your life....he didn't say anything he just sat back down. it was awkward for a second then he begin to speak " I didn't come here to discourage you just to simply ask what are we doing.." he said " im taking her" I said " and yonsai there was no one else that could take this child?" he asked narrowing his eyes "no dad we were all she had you know that" "yonsai but you are just 15 ..were is the babys father?" I looked down I don't know why I felt so ashamed like I was the one that made this mistake "it was a one night stand she didn't even know his name they both were drunk" my dad was speechless " wow no number nothing?" "nope" I shook my head "well you've made your decision and im here to help you its jus not going to be your baby its going to be our baby" my mom said hugging me "me too im even moving back in to help" my dad said kissing cheek
