The Vampire That Stole My Heart

Chapter 9

Jungkook pulled me by my hand into the car. "What did I tell you Nessa? I knew this would happen!"

"Okay! Okay! I'm sorry. I just wanted to have fun Jungkook." I said buckling up. "We have to get to Los Angeles. We have a good hour so so before Ella come after us."

"Hour?! You said it takes a week for a vampire to get up after you snap their neck!"

"She's 600. She'll get up much quicker."

"Fuck." I said under my breath. Jungkook started the car and began to drive. I remained quiet feeling responsible for what just happened. How could I be so stupid? My priorities were all messed up. I closed my eyes and did my best not to think about Ella and her scary personality. She was insane no doubt. What would Delilah and Jay be like? How would I survive this?

How could I make sure Jungkook survived this. "You should sleep Nessa." Jungkook said beside me. I turned to him. "I'm sorry again."

"Its okay.Im just glad you're okay."

I closed my eyes again and drifted off into sleep.

When I awoke we were in some sort of parking garage. It was dark outside and inside the garage. "Where are we?"

"Their hideout is nearby. We're going to have to walk." He said opening his door. I jumped out of the car and stretched my tired limbs. The garage was truly dark.

"Let's go Nessa." Jungkook said grabbing my hand. He started to pull me away from our car when I saw a shadow shaped as a man by a pillar.

"Jungk-"

Suddenly a gunshot rang out in the air and Jungkook fell to the ground. I screamed and fell the ground hugging Jungkook as he groaned in agony.

"Hello brother." I turned to see Taehyung he had dried blood all over him and he had a sadistic smile on his face. "I thought you killed him!" I said to Jungkook. "I couldn't...I knocked him out but I couldn't snap his neck. He was my favorite brother." Jungkook said through gritted teeth. So many curse words were running through my head at what to say to Jungkook but none of them seemed good enough to capture my anger. I took my hand and stuffed it in my bra. Taehyung's eyes widened. "What the fuck?" I pulled out my gun and stood in front of Taehyung.

"I'll protect you, you dumbass." I said addressing Jungkook. "Why couldn't you have remained down like your little girlfriend?" I asked glaring at him. Taehyung huffed angrily. "I came back to get revenge because you killed her!" He said pointing at Jungkook. "How could you do that to me? You killed everyone I care about for her." He said swiping his finger to me. "They'll all survive because they're vampires. Nessa isn't. She'll die if I let you take her."

"So you would give up on family for her?"

"Well...you did forget my birthday that one time." Jungkook said his breathing becoming heavier.

"That was an accident! We bought you that cake, remember?"

"What the fuck are you two talking about?" I asked.

"Hey! Stay out of this!" Taehyung said.

"Don't yell at Nessa!"

"I can defend myself Jungkook! But yeah don't yell at me if you want to have your head remained in tack with your body."

Taehyung rolled his eyes. "You're all talk and no action."

This boy was really getting on my nerves. "Bitch fight me!" I said starting toward him. Jungkook grabbed my ankle to prevent me from going closer to him.

"I can't let you leave." Taehyung said. "I would apologize but I'm glad to be able to hurt you Nessa. Just like how you hurt me. It's because of you my brothers are gone for the next week. That I lost my younger brother. And that my girlfriend is dead."

I felt guilty for a second. It was because of me that a whole grocery store full of people were scarred for life. That the club full of people were being fed on by a psycho vampire. That the employee that had given us that amazing car was probably fired. That I had caused an accident. And that I had puked on Jason and disgusted everyone eating breakfast. Which is completely unrelated but still god damn horrible.

"I am sorry Taehyung. This isn't my fault though. It's Delilah's." Taehyung shook his head. "I have to finish what my brothers and Ella started. He fired his gun and shot Jungkook again who yelled out. I was about to fire at him when he used his speed to get to me faster. He disarmed me and pushed me against a pillar. "Sleep."

I tried to cling to reality but I felt my eyes start to close.

And then I was asleep.
