I sit in the hard dull blue chair just a few chairs down from the principal office, once again. It's the sixth time I've been sent down here since me and my family moved here three weeks ago from Vancouver, Canada to Oklahoma city, Oklahoma. Now here I sit and wait to either get suspended or expelled from Northwest Classen High.
"Miss Jones." Principal Brown called from the doorway of his of office. I quickly stod up grabed my bag and headed into his office. Once I entered his office he slammed the door shut and motion to one of the ugly brown fake leather chairs for me to sit down in. I stood there watching him take his seat behind his desk .
"Have a seat." He said in a matter of fact tone. I stood there for a couple of more seconds before slowly sitting in the chair as it made a low crackling and hiss.
" You do know why you are in my office, Miss Jones?" He asked staring me down.
"Umm I guess." I replied trying to sound unsure.
"You are here for punching one of your fellow peers, Miss Jones." He said ignoring my response.
"Oh whatever just hit me with it, no need to waste your breath" I replied rolling my eyes hoping to get this done and over with.
"Alright, two weeks suspension, Miss Jones." He said in a irritated tone "I'll call your mother to come pick you up. I just hope I don't see you again in my office fro the remainder off the school year."
When he got off the phone with my mother, he told me to wait for her in the front office. I made my way to front office only to find a girl my age with curly blonde with deep blue eyes staring at me.
'Hi." I said plastering on a fake making my way towards her.
"Hello." The girl said without taking her gaze off me.
"What is your name?" I ask taking a seat next to her.
"My name is Kaia England, what is yours?" She asked staring at me with fascination.
"Morley Jones." I said trying not to sound rude.
"Oh I heard so much about you." She said brightly " I mean where are you from?"
"Canada, You?" I asked a bit a confused my her comment.
"I'm from right here in Oklahoma." She replied unfazed by my tone.
"So then how do you know me?" I asked letting it slipped out of my mouth.
"Your mother is right behind you." She said not answering my question. I followed her gaze to find my mother with her arms crossed and stern eyes looking at me.
"Lets go." My mother said in a firm voice " Say goodbye to your little friend."
"Bye." I said giving Kaia a small wave.
"Bye." Kaia said giving a small wave back. The ride home was horrible. She yelled and cursed about how I need to behave more in school and not start fights. Once we got home I made a escape to my room.
"Not so fast Morley." My Mother caught me by my shoulder. " Hand me your phone."
"What?" I hollered stamping my foot hard on the floor. "You can't do this to me."
"Its either your phone or your laptop?" She said sternly.
"but my phone and laptop are my life without either one I'm nothing." I said like a spoiled princess.
"Make your choice." She said tapping her foot.
Finally after thinking it through I slowly pulled out my phone and handed it to to.
"I'll give it back after two weeks." She said putting in her bag. "Go to your room until I call you for supper."
"Okay." I said slowly making my way to my room.
When I got to my room I threw my bag on the floor and flung myself to my bed. I lied there listening to my mother bustle around in the kitchen until I slowly drifted into a deep dreamless sleep.
CLANK!!!
I woke up startled by the noise. slowly I sat up staring around into the darkness puzzled by the noise. "Dark how long have I been out ." I thought to myself
"For hours." Came a voice out of nowhere.
"Who are you?" I asked into the the darkness.
"Nothing to worry about my dear." The voice said I now recognize as a male.
"Why?" I asked a again, but got no response. I sat there for a couple of more minutes listening for anything. After giving up I slowly lay back down not sure if what I heard was real. Then all of a sudden there was ice cold arms around me and the loud whooshing sound of the wind whipping around me. Then nothing but darkness.
