After taking Emily to her cabin and telling her that she'd be called whenever she'd be needed, the man left.
The cabin was a small room with walls white and one of them was adorned with a painting of a building that seemed to have been made out of wood. She felt as if she'd seen the picture somewhere. Emily went closer to examine the tiny scribblings at the bottom of the painting.
The Amethyst Hotel, 1968.
There was a long table with a computer, some files, notebooks and pens on top of it, a chair, a couch and a small round table present in the cabin.
She lay down on the couch and closed her eyes.
First proper job, Emily! Try not to get fired. All I have to do is stay away from that manager and do my work diligently.
*the phone rings*
She takes the call. "Emily, where are you? There's a korean guest in the lobby!" "Okay, I'll be right there"
On reaching the lobby, she finds a red haired, korean woman trying to talk to the receptionist, who failed to understand her words.
Anneyonghaseyo! Eotteohge dowa deullilkkayo?
"Hello! How may I help you?"
Anneyong! Naneun sing-geul bedeu lem-eul wonhae
"Hello! I want a single bed room."
After translating and accompanying the korean woman to her room on the eighth floor, she came back to her cabin, sat on her chair and closed her eyes.
Ahh! I'm tired. I just want to rest for some time now. I had no idea it would be this hard but atleast it's better than being at home all day and watching those weird people look at my house as if it were haunted.
*phone rings again*
"Hello? Hello? Emily? This is Peter(the mongoloid man). I was looking for you."
"Ohh! Why? I had to attend a guest and it took quite some time..."
"Okay. Whatever. Just go and meet the manager. He has called you in his office. You know where it is, right?"
*call disconnected*
The manager? But why? I didn't do anything wrong, did I? Man, I don't want to meet him.
She knocked at the door on the tenth floor and went inside.

PS, sorry for switching 'chinese' to 'korean'. It was not until while writing this chapter, I realised that I would have to put in some words and phrases too.
Also, I apologise for not being able to post regularly. Would try to, now, publish at least three chapters in a week.
Next chapter, tomorrow.
Stay tuned. Love you, all*
