Chapter Thirty

Jaehee's Pov

10 minutes past and still no sign of movements, we were ready for the ambush but the vampires were simply watching us without doing anything.

So Luhan suggested a plan instead.

Since the vampires were not about ready to attack us, we decided to make the first move. When Luhan give the signal, we'll attack the ones guarding the entrances first; Suho and Chen will take the ones on the left and Kris and Lay will take the ones on the right while Sehun and Kyungsoo will take the ones guarding the main entrance.

The rest of us will wait until the ones guarding the main entrance are wiped out before we can escape. We suspected that there might be 2 or 3 more outside so we'll be the ones to fend them off.

"Jaehee.." I heard Luhan called my name but I didn't turn to look at him, instead I remained a poker face. "Yeah?"

"Once we get out of here, Chanyeol, Baekhyun, Kai, Xiumin and I will fight the ones outside, buy you some time to escape."

"What?"

"Tao will lead you safely back to our hide-out."

"No, I want to stay and fight-"

"It's too dangerous for you. You've only ever used your abilities during trainings, but this is the real thing, you're not ready for it yet."

"But-"

"We'll catch up with you once we're done here. I promise."

It wasn't that I didn't believe his promised, but I just didn't want to run away and leave them. I wanted to stay and fight alongside them but it was also frustrating because I knew what Luhan said was right.

I'd only get in their way if I stayed.

Leaving them was the hardest decision I had to make.

"Okay guys, on my signal..." Luhan used his ability to speak through all of our minds. "Now!" Right as he said that, we scattered in different directions according to what we planned.

I was standing behind Chanyeol as he guarded me and shielded me from the chaos, people ran everywhere once the fight had started. The vampires were too busy dealing with the other members, they didn't pay attention to us so we quickly searched for an opening and escaped the bar.

Just like what Luhan predicted, there were 3 vampires waiting for us outside.

"Tao, take Jaehee and run!" Said Luhan as he grabbed Tao and pushed him out of the fighting zone.

I was still hesitant whether to leave or not, my mind told me to run but my heart told me to stay. But my options were immediately brushed away when Tao grabbed my arm and pulled me with him.

"No, Luhan!" I screamed and I think I saw him glanced my way for a split second before he went back to fighting the vampires.

Then my eyes landed on Chanyeol who was grazed by one of the Vampires, he held the part where he was grazed at, I believed it was only a minor grazed, thank God.

We suddenly made eye contact for a moment, he smiled and mouthed the words, "Be safe". At a time like this, he still put me before himself.

I felt tears dripping onto my cheeks as I watched his silhouette began to disappear.

Please be safe.

"Jaehee, I need you to transform!" I snapped back to reality when I heard Tao's voice.

"Transform?" I asked as I ran beside him, he was still gripping hold on my arm.

"Yes, into your werewolf form!"

Just like my training, I closed my eyes, cleared my head, imagined the full moon, and listened to the sound of my calmed breathing.

Then I felt my body changing, I began to transform into a werewolf, it was the first time I successfully transformed myself!

I was now running with 4 strong legs with an incredible speed, Tao had also transformed into a werewolf and he was running ahead of me. I increased my speed to catch up with him so I wouldn't fall behind.
