It's hot breath breathed onto my face. All I can smell is the stench of death and the iron smell of fresh blood that reeks from the creature of hell.

I can't smell the nice, fresh-cut (just that evening) grass, or feel the nice cool breeze of the night that is meant to cool down the sweltering day- time temperature. I'm sweating, the cool breeze should feel nice, but it's more like needles stabbing my skin. The creature is still in my face and I can feel it's fur pricking my skin, reminding me that it's not a dream. It's a nightmare I can't escape.

That creature of hell, wants a meal. The hunger shows in it's animal features. There is only one type of food he wants to. Meat. My human flesh. I can feel more sweat gathering in fear, all over my body. It starts snarling, gnashing together it's jaw, then licking it's monstrous teeth, effectively scaring the demon's food.

I could swear it's playing with me. The monster is playing with his food. It's enjoying my fear and I fear that it might just getting started.

If it wasn't for the man in the black hoodie and the woman in the red dress, my saviors, I'd most definitely be a skeleton by now. That monster would have wiped my existence clean. What if it had?

How would my skeleton have been discovered? What if a poor, innocent child had discovered me only to suffer the same fate? Would they have been able to identify me? What about my family and friends? How would they handle it? So many questions, that now seem really important that only a few hours ago would have never crossed my mind. I'm not invincible. I can die. I almost did.

What have I done with my life that makes it all worth while? Absolutely nothing, seventeen and I have spent most of my time in my room, avoiding life's mysteries and problems. I've been avoiding my mom for the last 3 years. I've haven't even had my first kiss. I have never truly dated anyone. I haven't even expressed how much my father means to me. I haven't had the opportunity to have a family. There's so much I still want to do, but I feel selfish because there are probably plenty that my saviors want to do also.

The man in the black hoodie was hurt the worst, and the girl in the red dress was currently missing. I hope she escaped, but the likelihood of that is very low. The monster was like a cheetah. I still have hope for her, because she ran like a plane. Her words will forever stay in my mind. The first and final words that I had heard her speak that night.

"HEY, YOU HAIRY ASS BASTARD, I'M OVER HERE! COME AND GET ME!" A woman yells, as she comes out from behind some bushes. The woman must be freaking insane! Why in the hell would you call a monster a 'hairy ass bastard'?! Does she want to die too? She takes off at full speed that seems inhuman, but so does the creature.

How did she have no fear? It might help that she was insane enough to confront the creature. She seemed so brave. No, she is brave. Even an insane person would run for the hills after seeing what I saw. Not only is she brave, she has to be alive. I need to believe that.

Sitting outside of the emergency room of the hoodied man, I pull out the knife that was used during the fight. It has all sorts of beautiful carvings on it's handle that give me a peace of mind as I traced them with my finger. I had put the knife in my bag, after calling the police. The knife was glowing then, unlike now where it just looked like an ordinary knife.

The man is breathing heavily, but holding the knife steadily in his hand. He's gone through so much. After being thrown around and scracthed, he still keeps going. The creature throws him toward the bush where I've been hiding, and the man glances at me and says some glibberish that I can't understand. I want to ask what he said, but my mouth remains closed. I can't move, not in the slightest. It's like someone is pinning me to the spot. I give up and look to where he once was to see him with his glowing knife in the creature. The creature wails in pain, a terrible cry. The wail is so loud the lights of houses start to turn on. Tears stream down my face. Relief, pain, fear, defeat, sadness, worry, depression, all seem to run through me. The monster, although in obvious pain, continues to fight. The boy was tossed, scratched, bruised, and I had heard cracks that sounded like bones breaking throughout the fight.

Whose bones were they? I assume the boy's, but I didn't hear the sound from his direction did I?

No, I didn't.

It's was the monster's. But, how? Human, about 6 feet tall, skinny, and somewhat built; Monster, about 6'6 (on it's hind legs), huge, and majorly built. Not to mention the creature had claws, abnormally large teeth, and moved like an animal. I guess he was an animal now that I think about it. He not only fought like an animal, he howled. He was much like a rapid dog.

Oh my god, IT WAS A FUCKING WEREWOLF!
