"Sienna you're, you're back." He stuttered. He runs over to me and hugs me. His hug is weaker than the twins' but it still is really tight. "I'm so glad to see you," He tells me while sounding emotional. "So glad to see you too, Brandon right?" He looks at me confused then my parents pull him and the twins over to the side.
"Kids, I don't know how to tell you this but, Sienna lost her memory from the accident. We don't know if she'll get it back, but we should just be glad that she's healthy." My mom explains. They all look back at me as I wave at them. I see awkward smiles from them all as they walk back. The conversation just shifted to a very uncomfortable place.
"So, i made lunch, lets go eat it," my grandma says trying to make it less uncomfortable. When I start to follow everyone over to the kitchen, I notice all the pictures on the walls. There are a lot of family photos with everyone in it. Our families must have really strong genes I guess because everyone looks alike.
Mom who is this with you and dad in the wedding pictures?" I ask. "He's nobody sweetie. No come on let's go eat." It seems like she was avoiding the question like something happened between them. But my curiosity slips my mind as I sit down at the table and start eating.
Lunch was a very dull. I expected them to be a little more chatty since I'm back. Once about every two minutes they asked each other questions like "How's your apartment Brandon?" Or "How's retirement?" I really wanted to get up and leave but I didn't want to be rude.
After about 15 minutes I got fed up. "Um, where's the bathroom?" I say trying to make any excuse to leave. "I'll show her," Brandon insisted. When we get up and start walking down the hall I think to myself 'thank god'.
"You just wanted to get out of there too huh?" He asks. Apparently he read my mind because that's exactly what I'm thinking.
"Yeah, it was really weird in there," As we walk down the hallway I see more wedding photos with my mom and dad's family in them. "Who is that?" I ask while pointing to the man next to my dad."He's our uncle. He and dad had a fight years ago but we don't know why," He says. "Here's the bathroom."
"Thanks," I say with a smile before I enter the bathroom. It turns out I actually did have to use the bathroom. I quickly do my business and head out so they don't think something is wrong with me. When I come out they're all done eating and on their phones.
It seems like they all got disconnected because no one can hold a conversation with one another without it being weird. I wonder why.

Thirty minutes passed by almost completely silent. Mom was on her phone, so was dad and Naomie. Grandma fell asleep on the couch along with the twins on her lap. Brandon and I really were the only ones that made conversation and truly enjoyed each other's company. He told me old family stories. And things about myself that I of course couldn't remember. "This is you as a baby," He said then he showed me a picture on his phone. "Awe I was so cute." I saw with a chuckle. "Yeah, you were. Hey do you want anything from the kitchen? I'm thirsty."
"Yeah, a glass of water will be fine thanks," when he gets up I find the remote to the TV and turn it on.
"Breaking News: local teenager, Sienna Blackwell has awaken from her 2 year coma. We have yet to speak with her family, but we do know now that she has amnesia. Stay tuned for more details."
Brandon came back, placed my water on the coffee table and turned off the TV before I heard anymore about the accident. "No. You don't need to know," He said. "Trust me, you don't want to."
