Slender dark cream-coloured she-cat with light amber eyes.
She is a sweet-natured cat, always kind and understanding. She is usually very positive; however, the only thing that she is bothered about is her inability to focus her vision. She is able to see objects far away, but not in close proximity. This severely affects her apprenticeship, but that did not stop her from striving to become a warrior. She makes good use of her other senses to get by. Her condition is hyperopia, also known as farsightedness.

This suffix fits this kind she-cat on different levels. For dusk, one could think of faded out colours, or pale-like. Similar to a dark cream, even, her coat. Cherrypaw's personality is kind, tranquil, quiet and calm. The theme of faded out or opaque resurfaces for Cherrypaw's personality. Lastly, the she-cat's condition enables her to easily scan the horizon, and therefore the possible dusk in the distance, giving her naming a lyrical note. I intend lyrical also as lyrical naming, though a cherry-colored dusk fits the description as well, vividly.

Her suffix shows that her gaze lets her see into her clanmates' hearts, able to sympathize, understand, and be kind to them. She also has a clear view of her goal, to become a warrior, no matter the obstacle. Gaze also reference's her farsightedness. Our last reason is that her sight enables her to see other senses that can and will help her throughout her life.

First off, the prefix and suffix flow well together, giving the name an even amount of light and dark. Wisp is a nice, soft suffix that has many different meanings. It could stand for her dark pelt, her blurry vision, or even her polite, caring personality. Wisp could also be short for whisper, which could bring to light the fact that even though her sight isn't the best, it helps her hearing better.

Cherrybounce refers to her positiveness despite her condition. It shows her wiliness to fight on through her vision quirks. The name also represents her sweetness and ability to allow others to feel her happiness. She uses her other senses instead of seeing, so that reflects back to her name as she always gets back on her feet. Her lack of vision makes up in the other parts of her, and Cherrybounce is a perfect name to describe this.
