I stay seated alone at the table. Just seeing Caleb dance with Bethany makes me sad. I go by the buffet and some girl walks up to me. "You must be Kaylee, Caleb's friend. He's talked a lot about you." She says. "OH WAIT! I'm so sorry! I'm Jasmine."
I look at her. "Yeah. Caleb is my friend." I say. The butterflies in my stomach fly around.
"I bet you like Caleb, yeah I know. Why don't you dance with him?" Jasmine says, as her other friend walks up.
"Hey Jassy! Is this Kaylee? The girl?" She asks holding her phone, as she walks into a table.
I look at her strangely."What do you mean 'the girl'?" I ask back.
She looks at me and starts laughing her guts off. "Caleb didn't tell you?" She says still laughing.
I smirk. "What did he say?" I ask, confused.
"Well, ugh... Caleb said he- doesn't-" She answers.
"Yeah I know! I gotta go!" I say leaving, Caleb behind.
