On those cold nights when you close your eyes tight-
The rain falls outside, the weather's a fright-
Right before you drift off and start to dream,
Whether you're a kid, old man, or a teen,
'The Giver of Dreams', a fairy all gold,
Comes to give you a gift, I have been told.
With a sprinkle of magic fairy dust,
She gives you what dreamers know is a must:
A night of wonder and granting wishes,
What would you like - to swim with the fishes?
For every soul, she does this all night,
From house to house, she is always in flight.
So tonight, I ask you one little thing;
Leave a note saying: "Thanks for what you bring."
